ok so got a er-5 for the wife when she passes her test next year....

it starts and runs fine, but as soon as you release the clutch in first gear the engine stalls

have tried moving the rear wheel on its own to see if anything like the brakes were binding but all seem to run smoothly

also trying to engage second is almost impossible

is there either something wrong with the gearbox or something with the clutch?

Thanks

Also on Kwaks you can't engage 2nd gear till you are actually moving. Helps on selecting neutral when stationary.

That is bloody clever and sounds like something I bloody need.

Can find the gf's sense of humour easier than neutral.
