I've also often thought that everyone should have to vote, but with an option for none of the above on the ballot paper.

I'm tempted to vote conservative but only because my local conservative candidate is a former world karate champion. In my mind if elected there's a chance she might go completely postal in the House of Commons, and unleash all manner of karate fury on the other MPs, leading to bloated self serving bast*rds being kicked every which way over commons benches.

Between March and April i think she realised she is far from "a bloody difficult woman" and more of a damp squib that is going to get utterly eaten alive by the EU.

Best to have a huge majority when the day comes that we leave the EU with absolutely nothing but a huge bill to pay and 2 more years of May in office to spin it into some sort of imperial victory for the UK.

Hope it backfires spectacularly.

It wont though. Worst case now is a low Tory majority, May resigns and that absolute charlatan, Boris Johnson, becoming PM.

Erm, 'the last time round' I remember hospitals reducing waiting times, increased police on the streets, resourced classrooms and ambulances that got to emergencies on time.

I then remember the banks f**king up the economy. Seems a bit stiff to blame a UK party's policies when corporate and personal greed crushed a global system. 'This simplistic socialist claptrap' includes breaking the ridiculous austerity measures in order to stimulate the economy, something May's administration adopted immediately (albeit watered down) when taking office.

There's a lot to knock Labour for, but the collapse of Western economies isn't it.

Yep, I think she wants to be voted out. Good luck to her, whatever happens. Which is worse, losing to the labour party or driving the country through Brexit?

Tax payers are screwed either way so I'm using my time more constructively and went for a slap up Chinese meal instead of pretending to care and hanging out at the election booths.. bit drunk now and not certain what animals I just ate but tasted good!! 4am alarm will be interesting..

The alternative is to vote for policies I don't agree with. Politics is shit, but we're yet to find a better option.

I think you're talking about the late 90s / early 2000s: I was talking about the 1970s.
