Breadsnapper Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 Quick question, had the misses on the back of my CBR600 and the back end is quite low. I know I will have to adjust the rear shock so do I wind the collar out to lengthen the spring or wind it in to make it shorter. I am of the opinion I wind it out but suspension is witchcraft to me.Cheers in advanceDave. Quote
dynax Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 Wind it out the aim is to have the bike level when loaded, you may need to increase tyre pressure too by a couple of psi Quote
Breadsnapper Posted August 25, 2019 Author Posted August 25, 2019 Yeah I thought so but cheers for that. Alternatively she could lose some weight. Just don't tell her I said that Quote
dynax Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 just had a quick google and suggests taking as far one way then count back number of turns the other then go halfway back and start from there might need a bit of trial and error Quote
Breadsnapper Posted August 25, 2019 Author Posted August 25, 2019 Cheers I will give it a go. Just what I need messing about on my bike in the baking heat when I could be out in my own riding it.Dave. Quote
oldgrump Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 Normally you would just adjust the damping up, there's normally a screw and that adjust the damping, And not the spring!!! I would find the damping screw and put a turn on that towards heavy , making a note of how much you turn it, so you can turn back for solo use. Quote

fastbob Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 I don't know why they even put pillion seats and pegs on mid range sports bikes . It's just not what they are designed to do . Quote
