Houses are pretty cheap where we live!

Somewhere above £200k? ish

Look what you can get for less than that on the Costa Blanca @rennie

Like being in Gracelands!

That looks great but I cant transfer my job out there !!

Stunning for the money though.

Cheers

If the pound rose to 2005 levels (around 1.50) you'd pay around 135K.

That's fantastic and I would be tempted !

However I need to work for the foreseeable and project/ site management is difficult to do remotely lol.

However I was impressed when my mate fell ill I left home in Bedfordshire at 0600. and landed in Porto before 10 so I suppose anything is possible.

I paid £58k for our 3 bed detached about 24 years ago!

(I've bought it again since then, marriage break up)

and it's been set on fire and almost completely rebuilt.

If we ever get the new garage finished and gardens tidied up

it's be worth about £250k ish.

Move it 3 miles it would double!

House prices make no sense

My mate in Bucks reckoned about 275-300K!

400K in Glos @S-Westerly?

I live in the posh part of Gloucestershire in the Cotswolds AONB (by about 100m) but it does push prices up. Up the hill in old Randwick perfectly average Cotswold cottages sell for 500 k plus.

That's a nice part of the world! Is Cheltenham still very affluent?

You wouldn't get that sort of house where I live! we all have front and rear gardens and a garage

The closest would be in one of the villages and you would be looking at 300k minimum

In the city centre we have this sort of thing which you're talking 250k+

And also on some other posh parts you're in the region of 500k+

I would like to have a guess at equivalent price in Hull for @Stu

£270.59p

You can go off some people you know :D

Parts of it are very affluent but like everywhere else it has the less wealthy bits as well. We looked at houses there but compared to Stroud they were about 25% more expensive at least.

When I worked there there was a Rolls Royce dealer on Tewkesbury Road!

I couldn't believe it......I'd never actually seen one before!

Think there still is along with an Aston Martin and Bentley dealer. Not that I am in the market unless I win the lottery 😁. My wife's Lexus dealer is in the same general area and more interesting to me is Helmet City who hang out in the trading estate off Tewkesbury Road.

Always pays to keep an eye on your helmet !

So give us an idea of what that would be worth where you live?

You could own our entire village.

No, seriously. I'm prepared to shuffle up some shonky paperwork to swap all the houses in our village for your property. I'm prepared to throw in London Bridge if you include the animals and the bike.
