Got one of the old knackered clutch cables on there to get me by, and a spare in the topbox with them tools to swap.

Hopefully venhill sort me out, had to dismantle my printer to clean to print head so I could print the label. It's not really going my way this week, told work "f**k this, I'm off" about 3 o'clock. They already pissed me off adding me to a 3 hour meeting I did not need to be in but with clients so I couldn't tell them to piss off and put it in an email like I normally would.

Had every other job piled on me by my mum and all today "Can you fix these computer speakers, oh can you look at this drill charger, I got them free off gumtree" there's a reason they're free, they're f**ked, not particularly valuable and not worth fixing. But obviously it's my mum so I'm not allowed to say no.

Must find strength to visit my Nan and crawl to the local for a very well needed pint(s). Can bore the landlord with my incessant bitching and have the old boys give the old "You're lucky! Back in my day we went on to the production line, got beaten savagely, burnt, poisoned and sworn at for 37 hours a day. IF WE WERE LUCKY"

Not far off, always good banter though.

Finally got the gaskets done today, and I only cut myself on the Stanley blade 3 times. Do I get a sticker?

Stuff in bins?  Woo lardy dah.

We had no bins cos we ad nowt to chuck in em.  We ate t'ashes straight from t'fire grate.  Twas the only hot meal we got.

Me mam was reight clever.  She knew the chippy owner poured old fat down the drain, so she would send us out in't snow to lift up manhole cover outside chip shop.  We scraped t' dripping off the sides of the drain and took it ome.

Mam made some grand ash cakes with it.

Hee them were t' days.

Installed a new carbon fibre air box cover and transferred the mirrors from the Touno.

Not sure if I like them or not.

I know you weren't asking for opinions, but the mirrors look a tad crap tbh.

Yeah those mirrors scream "I like wearing ladies underwear and dancing to aswad in the mirror, don't tell my wife"

I think you should swap them mate, before the wife finds out😉

Job for today.

Take the crank cover off and replace the pinched gasket I discovered yesterday so it doesn't hose the engine and exhaust with oil.

Worst thing is had I not been lazy and just bought some more gasket paper instead of buying pre cut oem jobbys I'd have saved about £30 by now.

And tbh given gasket paper is usually a bit meatier I probably wouldn't have pinched it so easily.

If I have to take that f**king cover off again I'm throwing myself in the bin. (I couldn't do that to the bike.)

As the weather is turning cooler I fitted some Oxford Hotgrips today! .. Easy enough job and they're working well now that I've fixed a dodgy connector.

Got it through it's MOT, failed on the number plate bulb.

Easy fix. Except triumph designed it so it's a dickhead to change with a non captive nut hidden behind the undertray, totally inaccessible without some dismantling.

Anyway I managed to bend the undertray back, get a socket on the nut with a bit of locking flex head magic, get it undone and then drill out and rivnut it (and change the bulb obviously).

That done it sailed through. Which is good because I'm super hung over after a wedding reception last night and really really suffered for that pass.
