Stu Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 For the first time in ever since I have been driving or riding I have made my bike SORN It ran out of MOT last month and no point doing it as I can't use it and the tax runs out at the end of this month and you can't tax without MOT so needs must! It's official the world has come to an end Quote
dynax Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 I'm lucky buying Xena new no worries over MOT for 3years, and Bridget's MOT is due 22 May but should be extended till Nov Quote
Stu Posted April 29, 2020 Author Posted April 29, 2020 I missed out on the extension by a few days Quote
rennie Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 My Bike's not SORN'd yet!But the Campervan is Quote
Bianco2564 Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 I SORNed all my bikes and car at the beginning of April and just got OHs Beemer diesel on the road now between us.Going to switch over to my car tomorrow just so it's not sat around for 2 months. Quote
Stu Posted April 29, 2020 Author Posted April 29, 2020 I can see this having an impact on the cost of vehicle TAX in the future Quote
Mr Fro Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 Shitter isn't it. The only things with tax at the moment are the daily drivers. Quote
Stu Posted April 29, 2020 Author Posted April 29, 2020 Shitter isn't it. The only things with tax at the moment are the daily drivers. It certainly is! Both our cars are taxed and MOT although I use that loosely as both cars will get the 6 month grace! These will stay on the road as they they will be needed once/if we go back to work Quote
Marino Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 Sad times, very sad, I was hoping riding to Croatia this June, but who knows, maybe some light at the end of euro tunnel. Quote
Guest Swagman Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 My car has just qualified for the test extension to October, however my blue fz6 has only been given to 15 May test was due 26 April so don’t understand how that is worked out as that should also be October. Quote
onesea Posted April 30, 2020 Posted April 30, 2020 If you can justify there are garages that are open that can and will MOT your bike... Quote
