Not sure about this! I've just ordered some Pirelli Rosso IVs. Got a feeling I will be regretting it when they've worn through after 4000 miles. But I'll try them once and if they're no good I'll go back to the Angel GT IIs. Or give something like the Metzeler s22s a go.

4,000 miles? Good grief. I’ve done nigh on 8,000 miles on the set I’ve replaced which includes a day ragging it around Cadwell Park.

I got 10,200 miles out of the last Michelin Road 5 rear, which would tally with your 8k plus plenty to spare. Not bad going, all told.

On Rossos? That would be nice to hear.

Compared to me buying a set of PS5 pros for my car replacing a rear tyre on a bike doesn't even register on my radar. Cost me near as damn it £800 when the car needs tyres yearly 😭

I'm currently using these tyres, still on with plenty of tread, wearing better than I thought and plenty of grip.

A mere £600 for a full set for my Ford Focus… vs £442 for a pair of Road Pilot 6’s for the bike.

Tyres are fine, youve just bought the wrong tyres for what your expecting or wants.
rossos are sporty road tyres with the 4000mi expectation and other aspects that come with it, angels are more touring based so up to 8000 or more is more like it.

Like any tyre it depends on how you ride it. I know of one guy with Angels doesn't even get 3000 miles whereas another gets 10k. Rossi 4's are going to be just the same. If you ride all the time like your on the TT you'll get way less than if you are more sedate. Either way enjoy them as I hear they are a pretty decent tyre.

Good morning!

I'm ready for the bank holiday weekend now. Absolutely shattered, work has been quite full on and then I smashed my knee in training (ju-jitsu) while doing ground work. I came down hard on it as I hit the floor, then in a second round one of the sensei's came in for a tackle and his shoulder made full contact with the same bit I'd just bashed. Whole leg lit up like a Christmas tree in pain, now got a bit lump over the patellar tendon and a nice black bruise. Hopefully just a contusion, as I've got a grading in 2 weeks
