I bought this recently. I've used it in my jacket for about 6 hours.

If I glue it back together would it still protect or is it completely useless now.

Best option is to buy another but if the choice is between that or none at all then I would still use it!

As has already been said,  personally speaking, I would invest in a new one,  however, as Bob said,  if it was that or nothing then I'd use it in the short term

That back protector looks like it's just made out of foam. I won't use it as it probably won't offer much protection, doubt it's even CE certified.

This is apparently level 2 CE approved. D3O style imitation where it's soft but hardens on impact.

SBS are posting a replacement as it's only a few weeks old.

I've spoken to SBS. They are posting a new one to me. I'll keep this one in use until it arrives.

This is supposed to be CE level 2 which is worrying

I had a jacket a few years ago which had a back protector like that - bloody surfboard it was. After a couple of hot months decided to wash the jacket so removed back protector which came out in 3 pieces. Quite shocked tbh as I'd not come off or anything. Can only assume it was from sitting down on some cafe chairs or something.  Since changed jacket and now use one of these D30 type you can roll up. Much thinner and cooler too.
