Use  red petrol can.  Park the bike round the corner.  Approach the most friendly looking person at an unleaded pump, hand him cash and fill the gerry can on his bill.  Done.

Where would you get a red can from ?

I didn't have to push in because it seems to be all over now but I did cause some consternation when I arrived at the pump on a pushbike with a Jerrycan in my panniers . I left it in place when I filled up and I think the cashier thought I was going to make off without paying .

My local garage has been closed off for last couple of days. It's a BP one though so that might be why. All others are as normal, filled up this morning, the forecourt looked exactly like I'd expect on a Sunday, fairly full but no mad queues etc

Doesn't seem to be any panic buying going on now. Quite a few garages with some pumps off but most are OK.

No one seems to be in a rush to queue anymore now that it's £1.54 a litre. 🤔🥲
