New rider looking for a 125 starter bike

I'm looking for a starter standard bike, don't mind too much about make and model as I'll be moving it on within a few months and I'm based in Cardiff, UK. Looking at a budget around £1000.

I'd say £1000 is the minimum you'd be looking at for something with an MOT etc

go for honda a cg 125 it will last and you will get good service out of it (that right Bob)

At 1k I would look for Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha & Suzuki second hand, you might stretch your budget.

 

Becareful buying Chinese they look good but don’t necessarily have the longievity of the big 4.  You can do well but as is often is the case you get what you pay for…

Used bike market is still quite high but you should be able to get a reasonable yam ybr or Honda cbf for that and get your money back come time to sell

Get yourself onto FB and join a few groups for the bikes you are looking for, there are usually members selling bikes for very reasonable prices, and much better than taking a your chances on evilbay or gumtree
