Hi All,

new to the forum so firstly hello everyone.

was hoping for a bit of advice. I have my mod 1 training Tuesday and test Wednesday but the weather forecast is freezing conditions. Is it likely they will cancel?

Any advice would be really great

thanks

Unlikely, main roads are usually treated and volume of traffic keeps it running (normally), mod 1 will depend on state of play on test site, winter comes around every year, your school would be best ones to ask.

Hi and welcome. 👍

Had the same thing on mine. Went to the school first thing and they called the centre. If it's properly frosty they could well cancel it, but it will just be how things look on the day.

All the best with it.

The test centre for Mod 1 is probably the best surface you'll ever ride on.

Unless frost / ice is still on the centre test pad, it should still go ahead.

Take your time, have faith in your tyres and allow for the conditions.

And most of all ... good luck.

Well done you have given us the day for your mod 2.

So you better tell us all that result as well.

  • 2 weeks later...

Absolutely gutted..... failed my mod 2 last Monday for not looking right (lifesaver) on a roundabout before coming off. You live and learn. I won't make that mistake again I hope.

Worst thing another £224 to take it again 10 days later.

Fingers crossed for a week tomorrow lol

Thanks for everyones replies

Shame about fail but it's something your unlikely to do again, good luck with the next one.

Bad luck mate, but you'll get it next time. £224 is a great tutor - and I know this from experience.

Wait. You have to look over your right shoulder when turning left?

It's been a long time since I did my test!

Good luck with your re-test. At least you know you're doing everything else right!

You look in the direction the danger might be coming from. On a roundabout if there's a lane to the right of you then that's where the baddies could be.
