Is there a point to watching  Buffy without lascivious thoughts? I thought that was the whole point of it.

Well it was, I suppose. Let's face it, the plot was rubbish. I think we only watched it to see when she got deflowered.

I either couldn't be bothered waiting or I got old.

Probably both !

I'm looking for a name for my new boat....I'll add that to the shortlist.

You'll either be very popular, or every dinghy/boat/ship on the water will make way...

with colourful bunting around the top of the boat, wearing a american white capt sailer hat with super short and tight white shorts, white socks near knee height with the corded flat shoes, drinking delicate cocktails all the while playing wham in the background....🤭

You've seen me sailing then....

It's definitely not in the average seaman's regular vocabulary.

It may have fallen out of use since the 1980s when I worked for the Flying Angel club in Liverpool. But back then there was a young Swedish lady who was student housekeeper for the Swedish Seafarers Church and it was most certainly in regular use at that time.

I was a frequent visitor.....but of course only because they served the best coffee in Liverpool and she baked wonderful cakes. And they had a sauna.
