  1. Really!! I know what went on in my own workplace and in the meetings! I was a part of a lot of it! I won't aste my time replying anymore as it's pretty clear you are one sided in all this! As the ex branch secretary of the union involved in the workplace who started off the pay talks I may well know what went on!
  2. They offered it before the strike and it was refused by the union and not put to the members! With the parting comments of we are going on strike regardless!
  3. Not all the time they don't! We have just had a 4 week strike at our place! As a result yes they got slightly increased pay rise to what was originally offered but it was only a re worked offer to pre strike which they accepted so the strike did nothing for them! What it did do is destroy the business to a point that we now need 80 plus staff less than pre strike Where is the union now after the strike trying to keep these people in a job? thats right nowhere to be seen because they got the publicity and according to them "they won"

  5. Jesus! Hope you're OK? What was you doing? Lubing the chain........
  6. The only differences on the L model is the colour schemes! They are the same nose cone all the way through the years
  7. I suspect that the specs are the recommended specs in the manual I would never go for smaller but nothing to stop you going larger Although the battery needs to fit in the holder and also have the correct orientation for the terminals Having said that I would get a battery that is recommended for your bike rather than trying to find one to fit Yuasa and Motobatt are good batteries you usually find motobatt specs are higher than recommended and their cold cranking amps is better AH is how much the capacity the battery has not how powerful it is cold cranking amps is the one to look at
  8. Updated scores! Although it looks as though not much has changed! has everyone given up? oldgrump 1670 teo63 900 Mickly 600 CB999 590 JRH 430 Grumpy Old Git 380 Throttled 300 Stu 40 rennie 10 I thought more points had been gained since the last update

  11. Evening all Second week in Stockport (shudder) for some training with work It's a bit grim
  12. I do very little filtering purely because my riding doesn't require it All my riding is for pleasure and if and when I meet traffic it's either pointless filtering as I'm in no rush and I'm out for the day and mostly it's just a bit of light traffic. If I have to filter my priority is will the bike fit due to the sheer size of it Most people move out the way here
  13. Some have started to charge a small fee for test rides which covers the insurance usually around £20 You go on your own and you can usually have them for a few hours
  14. You only need to do cbt to ride a 125 with L plates which will be your cheapest way to get going

So on that basis I won't be getting a bargain helmet at the show then
  19. Well the winter strip down has started The radiators need a bit of a clean!! Also found a little bit of damage on one of the radiators so I had a look for some radiator covers. I was looking at £92 for the pair then I found them on sale at M&P for £55 delivered so ordered them Sunday and they turned up yesterday
  20. I use Myroute App The reason for this is that I can plan routes sat at home and transfer them to the Zumo XT and away I go but if something changes I can simply use my phone to make modifications if I like and send it to the Zumo or create new routes easy enough while sat in the pub on a night discussing the next days adventures Myroute App stores the routes online and you can also download them to your phone if you really wanted to so they are accessible almost anywhere I can also create a group and add people to it to quickly and easily share routes between us I have used basecamp before and its a bit clunky but it works and is pretty easy to use once you learn how to use it but its not mobile unless you have a small laptop to take with you!
  21. Is this the one that Sue and @rennie tagged me in on facebook?
