  1. Check your clutch switch some communicate with the ecu
  2. Nice job there
  3. Well I think we are going to do 200 locations next year so all recommendations will be considered
  4. Maybe next year legs
  5. it might not be the switch it could be a loose wire somewhere like the starter relay i had a loose wire on my starter relay and everything worked fine except the starter button could also be a loose connector block i would start at the switch though and work your way back
  6. errr yeah to be honest i have had the bike apart that many times i will estimate about 15 mins and all the wiring battery ecu power commander and subframe will be off its easy when you know what your doing and how it all comes off
  7. no there is 100 locations around the country and you have to get to as many as you can read here http://www.themotorbikeforum.co.uk/view ... 12&t=42649 there is also ten pub names that you have to get they can be anywhere though as long as they are the correct pub name in the list
  8. i would fill the tank with water when its been welded if you can too to be honest i probably will leave mine as its only the bracket on the back of the tank and should only need a few mm taking off which i may do with a file depends how lazy im been i have a flap disc for the grinder which cause little spark and are pretty gentle really i also removed the seat and rear panels the other day and stored them in a safe place but looking at this i think i will have to remove everything including the subframe as it looks a bit tight for space also the rear hugger may need to be modified
  9. I will be doing the same to my tank but not to a bolt its to the tank mount as it will foul on the top of the shock Best watch the sparks though I have a full tank of fuel Will be doing more to it on Thursday hopefully will be fitted

    Over Fueling?

There is only a few bikes that can alter fuelling while on the move but none of them can adjust it enough to compensate for a better flowing air filter then there is the can and pipes! I wish they could though I wouldn't need to get my power commander remapped every time I play with my bike

    Over Fueling?

If anything it would be running lean with the k&n not over fuelling It could be down to the cold weather
  12. Spring and all other useless stuff off the shock with help of a grinder
  13. Stat first then water pump if that's the way you are going to go
  14. fan will still come on if stat is not opening/closing as it should???, temp sensor on the rad will make the fan kick in???, i.e: rad coolant becomes hot because the water is not circulating through the water jacket, and the fan alone can not cope alone with cooling, as there will be no /or little circulation checki the thermostat Then when the fan comes on it will cool it down especially in these temps as its not cooling it I wouldn't think it would be the stat Just had exactly the same problem on a bmw turns out it was a cracked head
  15. A leak down or "cylinder leakage" test is similar to a compression test in that it tells you how well your engine's cylinders are sealing. But instead of measuring pressure, it measures pressure loss. An engine in great condition should generally show only 5 to 10% leakage. An engine that's still in pretty good condition may show up to 20% leakage. But more than 30% leakage indicates trouble. A sniff test checks the coolant for hydrocarbons which would indicate that the head gasket has gone and exhaust fumes are entering the coolant passage ways
  16. It's not the stat as the fan is coming on and the fan is turned on by a sensor in the rad when it gets too hot I would consider getting a leak down test and a sniff test done this will tell you if its the head gasket or not
  17. Shouldn't it be fantasy race team? You got a link too Roy?
  18. told you i would forget have a look here for connectors foz http://kojaycat.co.uk/epages/950000457. ... ors_Bullet
