  2. first of all what year are you talking ?? what are you after out of a bike? they may look down on power on paper because everyone looks at BHP the gsxr has a little more torque which is what you use when road riding also i doubt anyone on this forum will use all the power on their bike to full potential on the road so power v power on a sports 600 is irrelevent

    Care of spokes.

if you do check the spokes and find any loose or broken make sure you tension them up properly as the spokes make the wheel run true if theres a few too tight in one spot it will cause a buckle
  9. I had one a few years back they fit great and work excellent
  10. leave it on you will thank it one day or worse case curse yourself when you leave an indicator on and a car pulls out on you

    Re-spraying fairings..

its really hard to spray a panel so it looks the same as the rest of them even a pro will find it hard i have sprayed the undertray for my bike and it looks pretty good but not as good as the rest of the bike and from close up you can tell i would take it somewhere to be honest
  12. well the only way the air and fuel ratio coould be out is if theres a blockage somewhere ie air box or exhaust does it rev up ok when not in gear ?
  13. it could be a blocked up cat if your only taking it steady they can soon get sooted up!! not sure if these have an exup valve either which if they stick or the motor dies could cause a similier problem when the mechanic is talking about the injection system which part is he talking about? there is a few parts that make up the system and i cant see all of it been buggered more often then not if its injection side its faulty wiring or dead ecu
  14. look at his sig he used to own the sv
  15. no the white bit the green bit would be the bearing that sits on your spindle look at this bearing the spindle goes through the hole and the part nearest the centre sits on the spindle and stays still the rest moves around it http://www.britsattheirbest.com/images/ii_ball_bearings.gif
  16. yes same thing we are all talking about and no the wheel doesnt move on it the bearings locate on it and the inner race sits still on it and the wheel moves around the bearing http://science.howstuffworks.com/transp ... aring1.htm
  17. grease.... http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m144/ian2000t/Random%20Mini%20Pics/P3161243.jpg dont use WD40 it gets rid of oil and grease
  18. could always try and get a banjo bolt for the brake line with the switch built in if you get really stuck http://www.moto-racing.co.uk/ccp51/media/images/product_detail/HEL%20Single%20Banjo%20Switch.jpg
  19. Really, how can it damage the leathers? Stu Something to do with natural oils or something aswell ( the science was explained to me, but i fell asleep listening to it so cant remember) as well as the fact the conditioner attracts dirt. actually cleaning your leathers and using a leather feed is miles better then anything else its been tried and tested a bike mag did tests on leathers that had been not looked after and leathers that had and the leathers that had been looked after scored better points
  20. grease is better it wont drip off or dry out you dont need high melting point it doesnt move and nothing moves on it either
  21. the delkevic pipes are pretty good my brother got some for his bandit and they bolted straight up with no problems at all if i was in the market for new down pipes thems the ones i would get as mega says the collector is the part where all pipes join up both pipes have this so nothing to worry about there
  22. 34mpg isnt too bad the advertised 40mpg will probably be best you will be mixed riding? stop start town work etc if so then thats about right get the bike on a run and you will see that 40mpg if not better
  23. not enough that you would notice and actually it would be better for the engine as its not working as hard
  24. i can only dream of them figures!!!! mine says 37mpg in the book and i know full well i dont get that i have a car for economy 65mpg
