  1. I agree, the one way valve is useless. I must have done something wrong. I've ridden the bike, the brakes work very well, but I don't get max pressure until the lever gets 1/2 inch from the grip. I've tried the vacuum pump, had a great vacuum which pulled air through. I've tried pumping the lever until it's hard, then used a cable tie to pull the lever back to the grip over night, this gave my great pressure, but within 15 minutes, the pressure had gone. I've put a whole litre of fluid through. Next is the reverse bleed.
  2. That does look like an alarm/immobiliser type thingy though.
  3. OK, so no one is going to admit they'd like one, and I wouldn't, but.... You have to admit, a motorcyclist living in China is pretty spoiled for choice. It's looks good from the side, but those air scoops either side of the fairing are damned ugly.
  4. That's the control for the disco lights.
  5. Motorcycle visors are polycarbonate, which will block pretty much all UV, and it's UV that triggers photochromatic lenses to darken. Although, I'm sure I saw some lenses once that were supposed to change behind glass.
  6. My favourite glasses to fit in my helmet hinge two ways, so the bottom of the lens will actually tilt outwards if the helmet puts pressure on the arms. Makes them super comfy.
  7. What about Halesowen Storage? Cheap Container Storage - Halesowen Storage - 0121 550 7949
  8. That'll see you right for a couple of years, depending on mileage.
  9. I'd give it a try if it was me. There should only be a very small size difference.
  10. We really need a "wow" emoji, the only giveaway that it's not a new bike, is the tax disk. Gorgeous looking machine.
  11. Oops. Then please accept my apologies, I thought you were another young person who wanted to make their underpowered machine go illegally faster....
  12. Serious answer: Buy a bigger bike to start with. If you don't have a license for a bigger bike, then get one. Obviously, the answer I have given is what you would consider to not be serious, as it's not what you want to hear.
  13. Well, it was when we got here Are you feeling better @peepae?
  14. Hope it passes quickly, unless it's a tummy issue, of course But seriously, get well soon.

    Welcome

    Welcome to the forum Monty
  16. Are taking the bike?
  17. Yes indeedy, no corrosion this time, but they'd buried it surrounded by flint, so with all the heavy traffic we've had with construction, it'd worn a hole. You could see the dent where the stone was against the pipe. We removed about a metre, because just 300mm further along was a kink.
  18. Have fun, and report back with pictures.
  19. Thanks for sharing! Congratulations too, on the sale of a really nice bike and an absolute bargain for that chap.
  20. Thank you, but skill from necessity/desperation. Despite the stress, I enjoy it.
  21. Well, it was a good morning until I realised the water on the yard wasn't rainwater. Luckily, my farmer friend just happened to have his digger here, so he came along and dug, we found the large 10mm leak in a steel pipe, and I repaired it. I'd had to do it a few years ago, so it wasn't so stressful. Rather pleased with myself.
