  1. Book torque is 15, which seems reasonable, but, I tighten a lot of nuts and bolts, I trust my "feel". It's so black that it looks like the little window has been painted. So warm or cold, it'll be changed tonight.
  2. Thanks, definitely no warranty to consider. I'll have to warm it up during the day to check for leaks, and maybe nip up the filter or sump bolt. But the work, albeit short, will need to be done in the evening.
  3. Thanks, I knew I'd get your opinion on oil in one way or another
  4. Any harm in a cold oil change? I appreciate a warmed up engine will have oil that will flow from the engine more easily etc. I can't really do my oil and filter until late, which means I can't warm up the engine. I'm assuming I just need to wait a tad longer for the oil to drain? TIA
  5. The Fiat Multipla
  6. Think of all the fuel you'll save..... The thing I can't stand about average speed sections, is the dicks that crawl almost past at 52Mph, and then match your speed whilst just sitting alongside....
  7. Would you want to work for someone who does that? When you go to see your current boss, it's a good chance to ask for a pay rise ....
  8. Hi Sean, welcome to the forum. First place to start is the kill switch next to the throttle, make sure it's in the run position. You're probably going to need a new battery, any fuel left in the tank will need to be drained and replaced with fresh. Also, the carb's will need to be removed so you can clean the jets. What a great experience for a new rider, you'll really get to know your bike. Welcome to amazing the world of two wheels. Have fun.
  9. Do you remember it though?
  10. What's a hand saw? Nice to be handy, so many people miss out by not getting hands on. Then then spend a fortune getting someone else to do it.
  11. Good excuse to buy a new mower
  12. That's pretty detailed, some nice joinery. I'd love to have that skill
  13. Nice looking bike! Look at police one day courses, or even the fire brigade. I'm on the other side of the world in Essex, there's a thing called "Fire Bike".
  14. @Fiddlesticks Thoroughly enjoyed that, very nicely done video, and you showed how it could be done by the rest of us.
  15. That's so unfair, I want one! Congratulations, this week is going to drag..
  16. What a bike to grab when you come back to riding, congratulations. Hope the journey home was a good one.
  17. Time to get bleeding. There are a few ways of doing it, but the old fashioned way seems to be the most reliable Get on YouTube
  18. I have the same problem, but it's my own doing. If it's had a fluid change, those callipers may just need bleeding again. I've just been advised to clamp the brake hose of the opposite calliper, to the one you're bleeding. I'm going to give this a try myself. Also, is the brake lever adjustable? Do you have a little numbered wheel at the pivot?
  19. Oh wow, congratulations, fantastic looking bike, I hope it serves you well.
  20. Can't beat a trip to the seaside. As you're Surrey based, I'm guessing that's Brighton? It looks quiet.
  21. But rain can be beautiful.... Not in Fife though, what you need is to be somewhere tropical
