1. As the title says really, I need to set one up and wondered how it works and if there are any cheaper and not dodgy alternatives. Cheers, Fro
2. Look son, I climb out of bed every morning and I do all my own stunts. All I need is the cash... I just checked my old 900 - not been MOTd since 2015 and someone painted it red. It was definitely blue when I had it - I've still got a tin of paint for it in the garage.
3. Exactly, 5/6 the size of a real one... Just like Cruise.
4. Fun fact: Kawasaki had to make a scale model of a GPZ for the film due to Tom Criuse's diminutive stature in an attempt to make the pint sized actor appear more like a real size person.
5. I agree about the plastic waste in Asia/India. Go anywhere that isn't a tourist hot spot and the coast is strewn with detritus - most of it plastic. The locals don't give a shit either, I've seen them lobbing bales of old plastic sheet out of a moving train and in to the jungle.
6. Well it's alright for a first attempt I suppose. Are you going to fit some clamps on the hoses so you can throttle the cooling? Just thinking the tanks closer to the fridge might get colder quicker than those far away. You know, friction and all that jazz.
7. If it's left in there long enough then the rice should sap the water out of it. Proper desiccant would work better mind.
8. Pretty sure they do Beans, I've had them on a few things. I think the trick is to believe it's going to happen and apply increasing pressure to the middle bit. If all goes well then the middle bit should move through the main body, allowing you to lever the whole thing out. I guess you could get a Stanley blade behind the flange and chop the top bit off if you're desperate.
9. You and me both - it's what I'm trying to figure out!
10. I'm confused. You need the buy the magic part plus the tensioner? I've not heard of this problem before. Considering I know quite a few bikers and have owned quite a few of the "affected" bikes over the last 20 odd years, I would have thought I'd have heard by now! What is the problem anyway? Just a baggy chain?
11. Am I reading that right? 55 notes for a small piece of aluminium, two nuts, two bolts, some loctite and cable ties?
12. Congratulations mate. I'd love to reel off some great stories and sage advice but I'm far too knackered and not functioning correctly due to having a 12 week old and a 2.5 year old plus studying and work... Just do the best you can for baby and your other half and it'll turn out fine. Edit: Actually, one thing... try and give the baby a bottle feed every day if you can, whether it be expressed or powder because the day will come when your Mrs will want to go out for the day and the last thing you want is a hungry, screaming baby who won't take a bottle. [/bitter experience]
13. Another sterling post there Sewell.
14. I absolutely assure you old chum that no copper wants to knock anyone off their bike unless it's absolutely necessary. Have you any idea how much paperwork you have to do if you slide a police car sideways between two massive embankments either side of a farmers field, with it being in so tight a tow truck has to come along and lift it out? I do and I thought it would never end despite there not being a mark on it. I don't even want to think about how much would be needed if an officer knocked off and killed some scrote!
15. Harrys ball are well in truly in his wifes handbag. Besides, it's not as of he's actual royalty...
16. I think you're on the wrong forum if you can't take a joke mate.
17. Built in China, modified in Birmingham. I don't think it gets much worse than that does it?
18. Fu*king hell, you can't even get that right. Everyone knows it's Bovril for the shitty finger gag.
19. That's just one of the issues with tiddly bikes OP. I'm out in the sticks with only NSL roads leading out of the place - I get blustered all over the place when it's blowy and almost come to a halt in decent head winds! Like Bender said, try and relax your arms and shoulders as much as you can as fighting it makes it more of a chore.
20. I was going to vote for Bob or Six bit since Six f*cked his chances (again) and Bob clearly has it on the bag, you can have my vote. Stu - can you confirm that the person with the fewest number of votes gets either booted or demoted with instant disqualification if someone votes for themselves?
21. I think the worst here was when the brushes on a grinder self destructed while in the house - really fine static black dust everywhere and the smell was awful.
22. Funny how women dislike automotive stuff in the house. Many moons ago I was with a girl who couldn't quite understand that the bathtub was the best place to clean up the cylinder heads from a Ford Essex V6.
23. Just think of the paperwork it will save!
24. Well bender is a robot or a manbot at best so it must be the mod gig he's after.
25. I doubt that's the biggest stool she's had.... Jesus Bender, you're on fire tonight!
