  1. Going up north, coming back down... Going on the Brighton burnup... It's a 650 mile weekend
  2. I'm good with kitting up 125's so they go quite a bit quicker I rode a GN on my CBT before I called shotgun on the CG. It only did 50-55mph so was only used for CBT's. Try this setup! 1. Lighten it anyway possible, take off rear pegs and replace parts around the bike for lighter alternatives. 2. Give it a iridium plug as I found they took off the edge of the vibration from the engine as the combustion is cleaner. 3. Raise the front sprocket by 1 tooth and no more. 4. Service it, make sure the air filter is a good quality one, the oil is the right type for the bike and so on. As it will get the best out of what it's got. Then perhaps quickly check the valve clearances as these go out fast on a 125 but are easy to do. Reckon less than £100 is all you need to get a good 5-10mph out of it. Oh and P.S. Check chain tension, keep it bang on and well lubed. If there are any kinks or tight spots replace it
  3. Or... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hagon-mono-sh ... 1130154168 Invest in a good replacement
  4. Well done! I know someone who had less to do than you've done to get a bandit up and running and did nothing. Nice to see real determination for a change

    Soft links

Firstly buy a chain riveter as it's £30 on evilbay but like all other tools they last a lifetime. Then secondly always go for the X-ring gold chains. I had a standard O-ring chain on my CBR600F4i and I went through it in 11000 miles even when it had regular cleaning and lubing. The X-ring has so far done 9000 miles with only 3 adjustments and it still has 3/4 life left.

    new bike

Try another gear? Sounds like the cable but if it just conked and it goes into gear without stalling then doesnt go then it sounds like either the clutch or gearbox has had it
  7. I think you need to paint your engine, frame, forks and brake calipers if you want something do to! Example: http://bikerscafeblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/CBR1-540x404.jpg Give the engine a colour accent like the one seen there, paint the forks and frame matt black and the calipers gold. Then I reckon you'll have a nicer street fighter look
  8. Its a 2-stroke carbed bike The NSR like my old RS125 will have a miniscule battery in it, if it goes flat and dies no amount of charging it will get it started! Bumping it will of course work but if you conk out as 2-strokes do you have to run and bump it again at the lights, which is always a tense moment

    electrics

Early injected Suzi's have fast idle control posing as a choke lever! But quite right the 2004 model was carbed. Get some heat shrink and a hair dryer... Your mum must surely have one of those? If not heat shrink and elecy tape But add elecy tape over the ends to act as added protection anyway
  10. Dont you just love it when something comes back to bite Speaking to a mate today, he brings up that I apparently slept with a girl. Its been brought up a couple of times in the last month with it happening like a year ago. I wasnt with anyone when I got with this girl, so it wouldnt have been anyones right to judge me for it had anything happened and so I have no reason to hide it but the simple matter of fact was I didnt do it If I had I wouldnt care anymore if i had or hadnt, but I hate it when people believe what they think. The girl didnt talk to me again as it was a very embarrasing moment when I turned round and said "no I dont want to". Deduct man points for this but flipping eck... f**k it
  11. Read the can I don't see how with O-rings compared with X-ring that some lubes would make a difference... Won't the components just be the same albeit a different configuration of o-ring vs x-ring or am I wrong? Unless the can says not to then I would call BS on whoever said that as I cant see why anyone would sell a lube that could harm any type of motorbike chain
  12. Have I got this right, you are taking off the old end can in favour of a new one and the new one doesnt fit over the old downpipes? If so then look at the can you bought, did it come originally with its own downpipes? As a lot do for that bike. If forcing it on will badly bend the downpipe at the connecting parts then dont do it. It looks suspiciously like you have the wrong end can for that bike! There are different year models and revisions were made all over the show with each version.

    USD fork seals

Search on youtube for a guy called Wedginator Look at his guide to swapping fork seals on a Ninja which are USD. Its very comprehensive!
  14. If the rings have gone next time I suggest you get new ones then rub some 2-stroke oil on the cylinder wall! Then when you get it together just turn it over without the plug in to distribute it better than you did with your finger and then finally wack the plug in and try again!
  15. Idle circuit/jet is buggered and blocked from the sounds of it While it looked clean the bigger jets may be getting fuel flow but the idle jet is small and easily gummed up. Take em off and give them a proper clean, then check float height, set the carbs back to their original setup and then balance them. I reckon this would sort it!
  16. Strip it yourself and check against a manual... I know the Hyosungs have a crap gearbox but the GT250R I used wasn't that bad! If the selector drum has been replaced then id be checking to make sure the pins are ok as well as it sounds like the selector isnt engaging them or maybe you have a crap gear linkage on the outside and youve been ripped off Other than that your gearbox is going or a bearing has gone somewhere...

    MPG?

Only because you have to, to get anywhere
  18. Have been away last couple of weeks and I'm on my last day away and have been more comfortable now than I have been in years but I have to go back to London and face the music. I am moving house, and as good as it will be when a get settled it doesn't help being constantly criminalised for Every thing I do now on the basis it's not what I did before (imagine being given the cold shoulder over seeing new friends) :s So f**k it, I made cuts to get away from the constant bullshit not to take it on a new front
  19. The temp goes down like it should, I just get annoyed with it climbing to 106 degrees and then the fan coming on and it roasting my legs constantly, it's not as bad as the kawasakis I've had mind but still And a few people swear by the stuff so thought I'd ask first as I'm just inclined to get the stuff from halfords like I always do unless it was stuff people on here thought it was common practise to use it!!
  20. It's come to the time I need to change quite a lot of things on my bike. So far ive done the oil, filter, spark plugs and have brake lines and pads to go on as well as an air filter. I want to do the coolant and was wondering if stuff from halfords would do or if I should invest in anything else like engine ice. I read it keeps engine temp at its optimal for longer and with summer here I've noticed my bikes temp really struggles to stay below 90 when I'm below 40mph. My rr and last 600f did this and it's annoyed me so any advice would be appreciated
  21. I've done conversions like this before, I can make entire sections of wiring harness to deal with that so can easily explain to you and make diagrams of what you would need to do Then Megawatt or someone could perhaps make the bracket to hold your lighting setup!
  22. Someone somewhere will have tuned one of these, the internet is your friend here so I'd go researching what others did... If you find someone who got a good setup then follow that and then get a Dyno done to make sure you did it properly and the bike isnt running too rich or lean
  23. This should be in Pitstop! And warped discs will obviously bugger your braking, you would feel the on off effect and if its done it that quickly other OEM parts would likely fail quickly too. But the first mistake is you bought a chinese bike If you replace it get a disc off a jap bike on there that fits.
  24. I echo the above... Check kill switch, sidestand and is it in gear If not check fuses and work from there.
  25. Fitting a front end will simply come down to making sure the bearings work with the stem! I know on Divvy 600s a popular mod is to take a front end of a FZR and the rear shock for one and fit them to the divvy so it has the added brake disk and better handling. Its worth a shot as you can pick up that stuff on the cheap anyway as its an old bike but the fact remains it is a good handling bike full stop so fitting it to the divvy will only have good results i think Its worth a shot isnt it! Just buy it and fit it
