Yes it was dire. The only one who hadany idea was the losing pm and his team changed everything he had said.

As above. The screw less terminals are very good and are vibration resistant so no loose terminals appearing. a lot of industry is moving to that type of terminal and wago do a range that can be mounted on DIN rail.

That looks like a heavy duty relay not a starter solenoid.

We will get coordinated for next year. I need to get out and scrub the new front tyre in and catch up with your tag points. -

Says the person that for the last 2 New Year’s Days has got up at the crack of dawn to get the first tag of the year. I’ll get you next year…. May be. -
Happy birthday @Mississippi Bullfrog

Mine doubles up as a screwdriver.

I use Devitt insurance brokers and end up changing insurers every 3 years or so, but Devitt do all the leg work.

Sorry but boat 784 numbers are incorrectly placed. Port side below, starboard side above. Apparently the dragon official racing guys get very upset when things aren’t to spec. Fortunately where I sail nobody gives a damm.

New front tyre fitted. Michelin PR5. Handles soooooo much better now. No dropping into corners.
-
Took it out and bagged 4 tags. It was pleasantly mild and roads devoid of other traffic.

Best be No. 9 then. -
Merry Christmas to one and all.

Did some in Hereford and South Wales, started towards some north Wales tags. Got caught in a downpour. Within a mile or so gave up and headed east towards the blue skies. Never made it back.
-
So sorry for your loss @Mississippi Bullfrog. Thoughts with you and your family.

Ah that's a lot more damage than mine. Couple of scratches on the fairing, which already had a scratch or two, and the tank. And it was the cost to replace and paint these which was the killer. Not bothered about the insurance classification as I have already got the value of the bike in the payout.
-
Was it an uneconomical repair or frame damage? I got rear ended and was declared a write off as uneconomical to repair. Bought it back for £500 and repairs cost me £100. I was quids in.

I cant get down that low. . I lifted something awkwardly and immediately thought shouldnt have done that. Was walking like quasimodo for a couple of weeks couldnt stand up straight. It ok now though.
-
Pulled muscle in my back has kept me off the bike for the last 8 weeks. Must try and get out again.

@treborrolyat a clutch on an electric vehicle kind of defeats the object. Max torque at zero revs, so twist the throttle and off we go. Putting a clutch in increases the complexity and reduces the reliability. Noise makers to simulate engine noise are available and I think are required in some markets. And I’m with Kiwibob make them affordable, increase the range and reduce charge time and it becomes a viable product.

There are a few subtle differences between the 2 classes and I think the DF65 has just about taken over. I know that as far as official racing goes DF and RG can race together under RG rules, but if the race is under DF rules then only dragons can race. Our club is a social club so we will have Dragons, my RG and micro magics on the water at the same time with the occasional Footy yacht joining in.
