Yeah, they all do the same thing essentially -
I'm trying to plan a NC500 trip in August, hopefully it wont clash

I'd like to think at the tender age of 27, looking 45 doesn't count Well I'm 33 but have been told I look like I'm 45 odd.....I put it down to a couple of very hard paper rounds when I was younger, one was to the top of mount Everest..... I put it down to the kids, as Gin mentioned above . I'm still not middle aged like

Jesus I'm not that old Or so you think I'd like to think at the tender age of 27, looking 45 doesn't count

My K&N has much smaller perforations than that. I bet it let's in less particles.

I did but it was about 4 months ago with no receipt. I assumed it would be standard 28 day returns etc? I assume that's online SBS? Your email is your receipt and the rest is as Mike says above. They refunded my gloves after 8 months when they split also sorted my leather jacket when it broke they're pretty good. -
Does that show Rea would have no chance in MotoGP then?

Are 125s less safe in bad weather conditions than bigger bikes
Westbeef replied to newbiker90's topic in Motorbike Chat
I had a CBF125, they only made awful tyres for it. It was very very skitty at the slightest hint of dampness, I would 100% rather be on anything other than that bloody thing in the rain. -
Because it's bollox?

Read post four. He's already ordered one . Shipped about ten minutes ago Would be genuinely interested in proof of actual benefits from a higher end filter, not just someone thinks it is better (potential placebo effect). The only one I would be able to vouch for right now is after a few years if you still have the bike it should have paid for itself, being reusable Or you whack it on a dyno and see if it does increase the power, which I'm sure a load of people will do

https://www.wemoto.com/bikes/kawasaki/er-6_f_caf/10/picture/air_filter_simota_-_performance_and_washable They do a Simota, my mechanic swears they're better than K&N. Benefits include alleged performance increase, and the main benefit is its reusable so you just clean it every 12 months.

I'd avoid the CBR650F, it's an A2 bike these days. Limited horsepower and revs much lower than a sporty 600 should. The GSXR600 is a better choice of them two types imo

It's a fairly easy job, but it was just a thought. I wouldn't go mad replacing everrything . It just bolts to the outside of the case. Without even hearing the noise it's pretty impossible to diagnose
-
I just spend shitloads fixing bits, not that anything has ever really broken. I tend to fix stuff when it starts to show signs of heading out, in the last 12 months it's had a service, Valves checked, CCT replaced, new R/R, new battery, new headers (not fitted yet), new rear tyre so not really had any money for farkles

Did you buy from SBS? They allow returns and it's quite an easy process? -
Cam Chain Tensioner - A little item that bolts into the engine case and keeps the correct tension automatically on the cam chain, the automatic bit can bugger up and cause a rattle.
-
It could be the CCT if you're certain the chain and sprockets are ok.

I'd have probably done what I chose to do from 16, rather than starting at 19. It's only three years, but I keep thinking where I'll be three years down the line . I did Engineering Apprenticeship, and have been working my way through qualifications and I'm currently 3 months away from completeing my degree. Long old slog after 8 years in the industry, doing ONC/HNC and then HND before starting the dgree - but the light is at the end of the tunnel.

Training in the wet
Westbeef replied to brad93's topic in CBT, Test and Advanced Training Information
Don't overthink it, ride as you normally would on a lesson. You aren't going to be doing anything that tests the limits of the bikes wet-grip. No examiners won't treat you any differently due to rain. If you wanna avoid what happened in the video, try to use a school with bikes that have ABS. That doesn't mean you shouldn't learn the correct way to emergency stop, but you're less likely to fall off if you get it wrong. -
Watching dirty John on Netflix at the minute. I have already listened to the podcast so know what happens but its thrilling true cime story well worth a go if that's your thing. I think I preferred the podcast so far though
