  1. Race for Life - probably May in Battersea park. My work will probably field a team and they'll all be surprised at seeing me at the start line before I stun them all with my amazing running skills!! EDIT: actually 13th June...
  2. Hadn't even thought about an actual run! I think actually getting 5K would be enough of an achievement for me! It's a good idea though, I'll have to have a look at what's about. Sometimes people here do a 5K run in aid of breast cancer care, so I'll have to see if that's happening this year - think it was May last year.
  3. Well I'm crap at running, but my general fitness has improved over the last few months so I'm going to start the couch to 5k training programme at some point. I just know I'm going to be stood at the start line wondering why on earth I'm putting myself through it. Oh well, will be an experience! Go on, sign up!!
  4. Hey, I'm doing that too...signed up last year with my fitness club. A lot of them did it last year too, and my instructor actually won it. I'm doing the Cambridge one in July. Slightly scared! Have you seen the videos Bob?
  5. Same here! Only 4 weeks till I hit 30 (again).
  6. Yep, got soaked on the way home from the rally at MFN in 2009. Solid rain all the way from the rally site and down the M1 as far as Leicester, then glorious sunshine from there to MK. I think I was actually drenched about 10 minutes into the ride. Got back to my road and I was soaked to my skin, boots full of water, fingers chafing from wet leather gloves and two people walked across the street in shorts and t-shirts. I think I burst into hysterical laughter. Then tears. I walked in through the front door and stripped to my undies which were also soaked. I think the only thing that was dry was my hair (the stuff on my head, of course). Admittedly I didn't have any waterproofs on, but yes, I got very wet and very cold.

  10. It's amazing...that search function thingy... http://www.themotorbikeforum.co.uk/view ... =2&t=39280
  11. Yeah, it's great to see people are getting into it. Can't wait to get my bike out and get going!!
  12. I switched from an Android (I had one of the very first HTCs on the market!) to an iPhone 4s in December after having said that I would never get an iPhone. I should know never say never by now... Anyway, I have to reluctantly admit that it's great. Yes, it has its shortcomings, but it's a smart phone you can just drop onto and use. It's intuitive and you don't have to use a computer to set them up any more, I only plugged mine in to sync with iTunes, although that can be done wirelessly now. More apps tend to be paid on the iPhone and there are apps I miss like googlemaps navigation although I haven't tried out the apple maps thingy whilst driving yet. But there are plenty of apps that just work on the iPhone. The thing that used to grind on me about Android was that the updates stopped after a year, which isn't great when you're on a two year contract. Everyone else in the world moved onto the next incarnation of Android, but I was stuck because HTC and Orange stopped incorporating updates for the Hero. At least with the iPhone, software updates benefit everyone no matter what generation they're on. Well, that's my two pennorth

  18. Indeed it has, TC has done a cracking job of sorting it all out and I think the map is a minor work of art!!
  19. Had this in a joke in a cracker today.... and the answer was.... a 'holly' davidson yes, I groaned too.
