    Bearings

Koyo Bearings are a known make and I've used them in the past BUT are yours genuine I wonder ?
  2. OK , I phoned up and they invited me to reply to an email and include a picture which I did . In response I received a written apology and an explanation that stated that the product left the factory in good condition but that due to mishandling air had seeped into the can causing the mould to grow . In addition I received a voucher for the sum of £2.00 . Does anybody honestly think this matter is worth taking any further or should I just forget about it ?

I doubt that the wheel bearings would have gone already so you need to look very carefully at exactly where this unwanted movement is coming from. I suspect that it's actually the swinging arm bearings that are knackered although some more basic bikes don't really have bearings as such . Pics or a video would be helpful.PS you didn't leave any spacers out did you ?
  4. Exactly! me too. Perhaps aeromodelers think alike.
  5. I'm not sure why but whenever I see Henry this character comes to mind .
  6. Often enough evidently, my bike is 25 years old , it doesn't rattle and it pulls like a train .
  7. For sale a Frank Thomas Kinetic two piece suit size 44 in excellent condition. ( good fit on me , 6ft tall,14 stone ) All original armour in place , no scuffs , all zips good , £ 150
  8. The thought never crossed my mind
  9. Electricals are not my strong point so pardon me if I am over simplifying things but surely this thing is only drawing current when something is plugged in to be charged .
  10. Here you gohttp://www.scbmotorcycles.com/breaking-motorcycles/vehicle-details/9501 try this breakers , I've had a look on eBay but I can't see anything that looks like it .
  11. If the gearbox is totaled this could be an option https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-CG125-Engine-Bottom-end-Brazil/112568128427?hash=item1a359553ab:g:5RQAAOSwHpdZv7bn
  12. Have you tried running in gear on the paddock stand but with you sitting on the bike ? If the suspension was compressed there would be less friction on the rubber guide block . Also , have you removed the chain and flexed every link to ensure each one moves freely ? One issue with O ring chains is that the friction of the O rings can easily disguise a problem . In other words , a chain that is absolutely shagged can still seem to be in good condition because the rubber rings quieten it down . A good test is to lay it flat and see how far you can bend it into a curve but you will need a fresh rivet link to do this .
  13. I totally get every word , you have my greatest admiration . I have rebuilt 8 CG125s so if you need any technical advice please feel free to PM me . Unfortunately I don't have any of the parts you need but I'm sure you will get everything off eBay. Good luck.
  14. What model cg is it ? How come you're trying to fix it ? Surely your insurance company will declare it a write off especially if its been left running while laying on its side .
  15. Is that it ? The inside of the tank looks pristine, I wouldn't bother using tank sealer just for that , I assumed the tank was rusty throughout .
  16. Next time use a measuring jug . ( and then put in a splosh for good luck )
  17. .....yes, sounds really likely - to snap the ignition barrel, a "slide" would have to destroy most of the front end of the bike. Don't think so - seems as if there's been some sort of nickery going on here......just sayin' Nickery ? Are you suggesting jiggery pokery ?
  18. Was it you that tried to glue it back or was all that glue already there ?
  19. I've been listening to myself on the guitar , I'm a very slow learner , I'm tone deaf and I have dyspraxia but my basic blues E shuffle ( with turnaround ) has just crossed over into that magical realm where I actually enjoy listening to the sounds I make.
  20. Thanks for the replies, I'm definitely going to pursue this matter but I haven't worked out who to contact first. No names for legal reasons but the manufacturer is possibly the one most synonymous with the production of baked beanz . I see some of the leading No win,No fee companies do " Foreign object in food " I'll have to do some investigating as to how to achieve the most satisfactory outcome.
  21. The can was sealed and the contents didn't smell off , the thing is definitely organic . I will take the matter further but I'm still looking at where to start .
  22. ] I popped open a can of beans this morning for my breakfast . Before pouring them into the pan I like to slurp the excess sauce ( I live on my own so my standards are wonderfully low ) This morning, however , I felt something among the beans brush my lips that should not have been there. Recoiling in horror I looked down and this is the sight that greeted me ( see picture ) I've been feeling nauseous all day at the thought of it . Any suggestions as to what to do about this traumatic event would be most welcome. By the way, did I mention elsewhere that I am currently raising funds for a new bike ?
