  1. Perfect for me . That's a brilliant run from Coventry .
  2. You do realise that this thread is essentially a clunky version of Facebook .
  3. A long way to go but I'm on the mend .
  4. I'm sure there are some excellent venues equidistant from Burton Latimer and Coventry .
  5. If it fits on a bike , fine .
  6. I'd be up for that but I don't think Campervans are very in keeping with the spirit of the thing . Just saying .
  7. I've been aware of this thing for years but what exactly is it ?
  8. A happy new year to everyone on the forum . It's been a bitter sweet one for me . I can say that I've owned two Harleys but sadly not at the same time . On the downside I have been neglecting my health and put on loads of weight which was a major contributory factor in my recent spell in hospital . BUT , I got away with it and I'm not about to blow a second chance . Slimming World , lookout !
  9. What exactly do you mean by Dashboard Display Light ?
  10. Oh yeah , I had this shit the minute I put my Sportster up for sale . One bloke from Ireland got really ratty about it . He might have actually been legit but there's no way I'd entertain the idea .
  11. Best : GSXR 1100 WP . Worst : Z 1000 ST . Wish I'd been able to keep GSX 1100 / Harley Davidson 1200 R .
  12. So that's practically unanimous in favour . I'll tell you what I think has no place at the Christmas dinner table , Cauliflower Cheese . Cauliflower if you must , but cheese ?
  13. Reunited after I spent the best part of a month in hospital .
  14. Whatever you do , spare a thought for the poor wretches who are forced to work on Boxing Day just to make ends meet .
  15. Let's have a photo of this capacitor please .
  16. The poor old fella has been very confused but he's alright now .
  17. Discharge today . Fourth time lucky I hope . On the whole , I still have nothing but the highest admiration for the NHS and everyone who works in it . Some of the night carers could be a little less brutal but they do put up with a lot of shit .
  18. Just an update . I'm in hospital for the third time now . Lungs and ribs doing well but I have fluid retention overload that is responding well to treatment . Here's an example of the madness that can occur in here . The guy opposite me is deaf and he's lost his hearing aid . He can , however , lipread really well . He has a particularly odd way of speaking so the member of the night staff eventually gave up shouting at him , turned to a colleague and said " He is Polish " So I had to intervene . I explained that he was deaf and a good lip reader but the staff member declined to remove his mask !
  19. I can only assume that you had no choice in the matter but for goodness sake be careful . Those conditions are life threatening and you've only got one life .
  20. Once you're past the A&E barrier the service is second to none and I can't fault it. Obviously if you had a life threatening condition you would get straight into a ward . My x-ray in triage showed no extra bleeding so I was parked up as non urgent . I suspect that the main reason I was re admitted was to ensure that I hadn't been inappropriately discharged previously . Anyway , taking it easy but I feel as if I'm making progress this time around .
  21. An update . I was discharged last Thursday and seemed to be doing ok but this Monday I coughed and was plunged into absolute agony . Couldn't move , breath , speak or do anything . Luckily my phone was within reach so I phoned a friend who got me an ambulance . 16 hours of agony in a wheelchair in A&E before I got transferred back to Cardio Thoracic . X-ray done , no further bleeding , observed for three days and sent home with even more pain meds . Just trying to stay comfortable and hoping that my rib stays in place .
