  1. I'll be a bit earlier . I'm guessing your going to be on your CBF .
  2. And in torrential rain both directions .
  3. I spent the last several days giving my bike a deep clean and polish ready for Coventry Moto Fest and I am well satisfied with my efforts .
  4. I'll show you guys my " Brick Method " tomorrow if I can be arsed .
  5. Here you go . Use this as a benchmark . https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/363939715987?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=Dud63zJhQHK&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=9xhDzDPcSSK&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=MORE
  6. I haven't got a lot to add to the very realistic assessment from Mr Bullfrog . It's an entry level commuter bike that is exactly equal to the sum of its parts . It has no style to speak of and is of little interest to collectors or custom builders alike . The most attractive feature by far is the mileage . This bike has taken twenty two years to equal the miles I traveled last month ! Put it out there for £ 2,000 and someone will come along in due course .
  7. Well they know where they can stick that then . Have you checked out Huggie,s Speed Shop ?
  8. I've been past this place loads of times but Ive never ventured in because I've read so many conflicting reports concerning the welcome that awaits . Maybe the bad reviews are from car drivers but I understand that you may or may not be charged just for parking depending on whether your vehicle is deemed to be interesting or not . Something like that .
  9. I could easily pop down on the Sunday for a chat but the Ride In only takes place on the Saturday . By the way , did you ever remove the air filter badge ? I've just discovered the original badge underneath , which was nice .
  10. So who's going to join me NEXT WEEKEND at Coventry Motofest ? The Ride In this year begins assembling at Draycot Water near Rugby at around 07:30 and departs for Coventry at 09:30 . All bikes are welcome . When you arrive in Coventry there will be plenty to see and do as the whole City Centre will be full of vintage and custom vehicles . I understand that there will be a return to live displays on the Coventry Ring Road . Here's some pics from last year's event.
  11. Last time I parked at the side of the road I was moved on by the Police .
  12. But it's a revival of a Great British icon of motorcycling .......Made in France
  13. I came upon this motorcycle in a local showroom on Saturday . £43,000 to you sir . So what do we think of it , f**k ugly or extremely desirable ?
  14. Until this happend I'd have been inclined to agree with all of that . However , it was definitely a wasp and it definitely left it's sting in me . I did brush the sting off but it's left a nasty lump ..
  15. And another one . The nob in Tamworth around six o'clock on the black Soft Tail with Apes . It's one thing wearing nothing but a black Tupperware bowl on your ugly bonce but parking yourself forty feet beyond the traffic lights and sitting there gunning your engine is impressing nobody . Embarrassing !
  16. All wasps are nobs but the one that stung me on the neck when I was riding my bike on Sunday was especially a nob . I had to pull over quick and get my jacket off in a hurry . The rotten thing fell to the floor and just wandered around in a circle . The sting and half its giblets were still pumping venom into my neck so I didn't bother to stamp on it . Later on I happened upon a MacDonalds so I enquired as whether they had any vinegar to put on the throbbing sting . I'm sure the girl meant well but when she presented me with a large sachet of Balsamic Dressing I realized that my request had been rather optimistic .
  17. Macdonald's coffee IS good . Just the right taste and strength for me .
  18. I couldn't agree more . Love the touch screens and a Banana Milkshake is just perfect on a hot day . Table service , air conditioning , WiFi and phone charging . What's not to like about that ?
  19. I'm sitting in a MacDonalds . There is a Premier Inn through the hedge and I can say with total honesty that I don't know where I am . And I'm not that bothered .
  20. Only a first reaction but I would have thought that flying in the vicinity of a National Air Traffic System facility would be an absolute no no . And an obvious one .
  21. If you only slightly think it might be a scam , why subject yourself to the any anxiety about it ? If someone wants your bike , they can come and fetch it and either bring a wad of cash with them or you both go into a bank and complete a transfer . When I sold my Sportster , I took a deposit by PayPal and promptly banked it . Then the buyer had a change of mind and proposed sending a courier instead of collection in person . I said I was not too happy and within seconds this prick was screaming for his money back . If I can be arsed to lug my helmet and boots all the way to Portsmouth by train then I expect someone else to do the same . In the end I sold my bike to a very nice lady who arrived when she said she would and paid cash when she said she would .
  22. On the downside , the bast*rds are in the process of putting a Fibre Broadband cable into a trench that will run for the majority of the westbound carriageway . That's right on the motorcycling line and it's as bumpy as f**k !
  23. On Tuesday I rode from Arisaig to Dunbar near to North Berwick via Perth . I made my mind up to travel some routes that I've never done before just to see what I could see . And I'm glad I did , amazing road with great surfaces all the way to the A9 which is a bit boring because all the villages are bypassed . I decided to press on so that the trip home would be shorter and that took me over the new Forth Bridge or Queensferry Crossing as this colossal miracle of engineering is known . After that I just hit the Edinburgh bypass until I found the A1 and then I spotted a Caravan and Camping Club site . After all the usual tutt tutting and thinly disguised disapproval I got to spend a very pleasant night under a canopy of stars and broken clouds . At sunrise I was greeted by the rare sight of a pink rainbow , which was odd . After a full English breakfast at the Lindisfarne cafe , I hit the A1 , M1 , M69 , A45 and home . The only glitch was torrential rain in Staffordshire where my visibility went to nearly nothing except the distance between the two tail lights in front of me . There was nothing to do but call upon the Force and I was answered . Fear serves no purpose in a predicament like this . So , a great few days in Scotland with some really blissful riding on what is proving to be a very capable bike . Now the cleaning begins .
