Not read the link but yep im wondering is it only under the supervision of a approved dsa instructor or a friend of a friend whose mate has a licence gor 3 yrs and a day but never driven since passing ..what with smart motorways and all lane running ... I cringe getting out my cab on a hard shoulder as it is with "qualified" drivers only on the road as that's bad enough with substandard road use ... Time will tell and will be an interesting case to watch .

Were you given a running in procedure and did you follow the instructions ? As improper use after a rebuild can cause catastrophic damage to internals . Did you pay cash or credit card . Contact your local citizens advice or trading standards for advice on how to proceed Is it a new bike or used ? Is the workshop a honda dealer or a independently run business . What warranty did they claim from What is listed on the invoice for work carried out . Get all the information you can in place before shouting high and mighty either to the workshop or to solicitors .

See you've tried it on the bike direct to car battery with jump leads .. then i would place an issue with the starter motor internals failing under load Ie brushes worn , dodgy solder joints ...

Are you using the choke ? And the sr carb had a habit of the choke mechanism not latching .. used to use a clothes peg/ crocodile clip to keep it out on my old one

Have you overfilled the reservoirs ? Too much fluid will not give the system enough room for the fluid to retract away from the pistons
