  1. Simply put.. the more you pay as a general rule the more you get. There is a bare minimum standard that all helmets for sale in this country must meet. pay more and you tend to get vents that work. a decent.. often removable and washable (or easy clean) lining. light weight. improved materials built to last. Wind tunnel tested and the list goes on. its often the case that people start with a budget helmet due to the overal cost of passing the test, buying a bike and gear. and theres nothing wrong with that... but as time goes by and your spending returns to some kind of normal then you might consider upgrading as and when you can afford to. We're not all made of money and cannot all afford the best at the very start,
  2. Its a word that has been in use on this forum for over 13 years. so its a little odd to be treating it as something new or different.
  3. yes.. but it makes shopping for hats a nightmare.
  4. yes.. priorities.

  7. No, actually it was Gong. But never mind eh.
  8. Aaah. Some mint tea.
  9. This thread is like a cage in search of a bird.
  10. of course.
  11. No.. its a fact. Ive never had a phone break down due to water damage. Because I never allowed a phone to get wet.
  12. Every single mobile phone I’ve owned has been completely waterproof. I made them so. By not allowing them to get wet. simple really.
  13. Its hardly a surprise.
  14. Im curious to know why you would use a product that is produced for the automotive side of Honda (US) for use on their Honda and Acura branded Cars. specifically within the brake callipers. brakes are somewhat different to splines.
  15. Perhaps an honorarium. with a photo of an imaginary (and vaguely insulting) medal as a pointedly meaningless reward. (deserved)
  16. Moly grease/Spline grease. price around £7 for 400g tube. which should last years.
  17. As a definition that’s a new one on me and complete nonsense (obviously) in this modern age. sounds to me like the kind of thing bikers with an US v THEM attitude in the 60s and 70s might of come up with... while admiring each other’s denim cut-offs and discussing various sources and brands of patchouli oil over a snakebite at the local.
  18. If I keep stress-eating at this level, the buttons on my shirt will start socially distancing from each other.
  19. It has nothing to say about that.
  20. The clause is telling me what I already know. If I am sick. Don't ride the motorcycle. Thats all there is to it. The language is typical of a clueless but overkeen legal department. but thats effectively what it boils down to.
  21. No. This is in Austria, the totally wonderful L255 which follows the shore of the Plansee. almost 22 miles long and my favouritest road ever!! https://tinyurl.com/y2c5eypt
  22. Nice chippy at Uppingham. priorities.. sorted.
  23. Of course Mama's gonna help build the wall
  24. these wizz bang ideas are nothing more than a carefully constructed money making scam. rather than watch YT videos.. the best idea is to do what the people who design and produce these chains advise as far as maintenance is concerned. they keep it very simple. and also very cheap. Paraffin to clean. and gearbox oil to lubricate. thats all there is to it. I would guess the cost for me to clean AND lubricate the chain on my bike is somewhere in the region of 10p each time.
