  1. Sorry to read that, hopefully your husband is improving, as for sentence hard to tell with our system, could be anything from a ban a fine and community service to a ban a fine and a couple of years. Hopefully a lot more, the fact he's pleaded guilty gets him discount off any sentence, will depend on previous if he has any. When is it due to go to court.
  2. Oat milk probably made a big difference to me, I always had full fat milk , now have it in coffee and with breakfast have semi skimmed milk in tea. Alcohol does little for your blood except produce cholesterol, between now and next test it's gest you just cut it out completely, even a small amount is simply keeping it topped up, alcohol free stuff is everywhere so can can still join in with a placebo.
  3. No she's a helper, helperer off the floorerer. @Tiggiein all seriousness as I discovered last year it is possible to make a big dent in cholesterol in a reasonable short period but it takes a fair amount of willpower. I went for something completely unrelated last year and as I had not been to the docs since grace darling was plucking sailors off the foreshore it was ohhh while your here. Next week I got a letter and a lifetime prescription for statins, wtf was my first thought, followed by I would like to speak to the doc, I asked if I could make changes before I was consigned to medication for life, reply came back, your getting old Anywho 3 months later a stone lighter and all came back perfectly normal, docs not spoke to me since, think they on commission.
  4. We only have 1 young grandchild, he stopped over first time last night, the amount of stuff that came with was ridiculous, I'm not sure the 8 seater is big enough. God it was exhausting, we are both ready for going to sleep now, we are going out in an hour, this is second child, first one is 14, why anyone in their right mind would actively decide to have children is beyond me
  5. Have you been before, we have thought about it, we're running out of short haul destinations.
  6. I had something lost in a bonded warehouse, it took an entire year to turn up.
  7. Yup borrow someone else's kids then hand them back and go buy the first 2 seater car you can find A lot can happen in 10yrs even boredom (with the car (hopefully)). We bought nearly new for wife's car, had it nearly 7yrs now, saved fair bit on new price and a lot more on not replacing it. We're lucky to have a few in the household so nothing has to fit any one role but the time is rapidly approaching when somehow that will have to be dwindled down to 1, except I've got at least 2 I'm not parting with, that's going to be interesting
  8. I got some parts from Texas, they were in the UK in under 24hrs from placing the order, took 2 days to get from trimdon to Sunderland, easy to spot where ups stopped and royal fail took over
  9. It will come into play when it's needed and if it's not needed that's great, I can only remember the one time in my car history that a seatbelt was required to work, luckily it did, so did the hedge and the headrest which took a huge amount of compression as the roof flattened and that wasn't even it's main design brief, lots of safety stuff never ever gets used by the majority of people but as it's a numbers game it's used by some and will have saved many lives, not needed but available great. @S-Westerlyhope the right side pannier turns up
  10. Happy birthday for when it's time to be happy. Good luck with everything else.
  11. About 5yrs ago, cost no idea, I just did PAYG style rather than set fee for das, worked out cheaper is all I can remember.
  12. I don't think long term leakage is a concern to a race team, tyres will be toast in one race.
  13. Normal air has oxygen and moisture and a few other glasses and expands much more over same temperature range, that's why nitrogen is used in race applications it alters much less with temperature change than just air. I didn't say it's immune to expansion.
  14. Welcome, I like your backup plan
  15. Air expands when heated so it has to increase tyre pressure, it's why some fancy things use nitrogen it has a much lower reaction to temp changes and doesn't drop pressure over time as much, most of what you breathe is nitrogen.
  16. I just ask Alexa and it magically emanates from said device.
  17. I gave up at super symmetry
  18. Plug looks ok, I doubt petrol is issue if you've changed plugs, if it's a shit plug and insulation has gone could be missing now and again
  19. I just set them to what they are supposed to be before setting off, I don't have tpms so I'm alarm free
  20. What colour were the plugs ?
  21. Playing with the amount of cover for the cancellation would concur with that. Dropping down to £1k for a claim for cancellation got the price to just over £200 this is for an annual policy, 6k which could easily be reached in a claim had it at &1200 and that was the cheapest , drop it to 5k and it appears to be to sweet spot, for us any way.
  22. Our holiday insurance renewal went upto £580.00, I did some comparing and we are not renewing with them
