1. Have you tried cleaning the carb ?
2. Apparently it does because you can buy one as a replacement part... also, I believe some Yamaha's and carbed 1200 bandits have one. But exactly why? beats me. Me too, cant see any benefit of having one on a Carbed model
3. I didnt know any Carbed models had a TPS I cant see any reason a carb model would have one Try disconnecting it again, On a FI bike a TPS thats not set right will make the bike run really bad at lower revs
4. Fozzie is right Most people forget about Cush Rubbers..........when worn they give a sloppy feel to the transmission Good tip Ive used is to pack out the rubbers with small pieces of cut up push bike inertube a little to get a bit more life out of them.......works ok
5. Well Done! Its also Really nice to know you read other posts and joined just to let them know it helped
6. Yep for the Big Nut not sure about the small one https://cbrforum.com/forum/cbr-600f-15/front-sprocket-nut-removal-turn-lefty-loosey-138502/

8. I was only a member for a short while when this happened, and it was not my place to get involved, and weirdly enough Ive been watching for a fair bit of time for TC1474 to pop back up It was very obvious to me at the beginning that he is an invaluable member of any forum and incredibly helpful man Even though I was/am an observer I would very much like to see him back here

clutch plates

So now that you have unleashed this extra power what are you doing for a clutch on the Busa ? Keeping it stock mate, Unless it needs work.......... I havnt opened it up yet, After talking to other Busa owners and researching it seems a good few Busa's come in around the 180-190 Psi as stock, and a surprising amount are just over the 171 psi lower limit, with one at 160 Psi Cold (without running problems) which means a whole load of riders have bikes that arnt producing power they could/should be But a good one will pump out 210+ Mine has gone from 185 Psi to 226 Psi, which Im very happy about, assuming I have my calculations right and it dosnt explode further up the Rev range But the increase in mine is at the Maximum Stock Power limit (-2 psi) so I cant see it being a problem

Good your getting a replacment I wouldnt trust anyone to work on my bike now
11. I thought about that too No matter how long a biker has been riding Or how qualified a biker is you cant possibly rule out being killed by a DUI driver which is very Sobering (no pun intended) AND she is a Teacher FFS !
12. I think that's a Great Idea, Biking has helped my Bipolar Enormously, episodes dont last as long as they used to and they are not as frequent. Ive spent more hours getting my damn bike to perform properly (in the begining) and even more getting it to run at the highest (and safest for the engine) performance
13. Its Worth mentioning that When you add a new ignition barrel on my bike you have to add a 100k resistor to a specific wire if its not an original item This is a security Immobiliser that the pattern parts don't take into account It has the same symptoms you describe
14. Six30 Have you thought of Therapy ?
15. Have you tried to see if it spins up now? After sitting for so long it might just do it
16. Thankyou markhibberd5 +1 to Karma
17. Thanks mate, it was more to do with the way I strolled in like Billy big-bollocks come to save the day, only to be mangled by a tiny little creature At Least you did something well done No wonder the dog was like that if It been hit and very scared
18. The One Ive got is from an R6 Its a common mod to do to the Busa put an R6 or R1 on but I adjusted my stock one in the end so have this going free if he needs it And seems so on the sv650s too............gives less travel for opening throttle so bike "seems" more powerfull http://www.svrider.com/forum/showthread.php?t=57151
19. Zip ties But would have to have confidence it wont be a danger
