  1. I had to open the front door and that being the last corner it was a bit of a bugger. It will sand off when dry. The whole hallway will get painted over then. Another job ticked off the list
  2. Mid mix on the floor levelling compound and my trusty drill decided to end it all in a flurry of smoke and sparks. Thankfully managed to mix sufficiently to get the floor sorted!
  3. Macsorleys Jamaica Street great selections of beer food is v good too and a decent wetherspoons opposite. The Old Ship Bank on Saltmarket has possibly the best Guinness, ran by a mature couple I think the landlord is called Melvyn, very friendly and great staff locals pub outsiders v welcome
  4. Everywhere has crime I'm afraid but I found Glasgow a friendly place some great places to eat and drink too. If you like whisky try the Pot Still in the city centre
  5. My latest bit of DIY has become more complex simple Hall and landing refresh with new carpet (professionally fitted not me) has now developed into levelling the entrance floor. I foolishly wanted to change the small bit of flooring as you come in the front door. Oh well least ill know it's done right. Just prepping the floor to level it Wednesday with any luck
  6. Is it worth looking on Google Street View where you are stopping and seeing if there are any companies with secure parking that you might be able to speculatively contact and see if you can arrange a fee for using their space?
  7. Don't ask me how it came I to my head today, got chatting about a bloke I used to work with. Conversation went "he's a right f*****g div" I don't know where I got that one from I don't think I've used that insult since my school days, did make me chuckle

  13. At least decent provisions have been made. I know the shops like the bikers and the one cafe used to give discounts too. Sounds like the council still want to welcome the bikes just not right by the river. I remember years ago Bewdley along the Severn just stopped all the bike parking and made no provisions local tradespeople moaned about the bikes then moaned about the lost trade after least this seems to had an element of planning and thought
  14. They still ain't decided where the first one will be so yes will take years just interesting how it's all shaping up
  15. Saw this I the news today looks like an interesting development of technology being trialled in different places globally. Looks like this European/UK trial has gone well https://www.newsweek.com/artificial-sun-breaks-record-landmark-moment-clean-nuclear-fusion-energy-jet-iter-1677467
  16. I've had one of these for a few years now don't really need it on the current bike but did just fine on the older ones I just had to replace the bracket once. Cheap enough you can buy 2
  17. Thats a bit like the issue I had when I had my bullit 250 a few years ago ht lead sparking off the engine. Fortunately died outside a hardware store. Got some insulation tape, it got me out of trouble replaced the lead with an ngk one and was the only issue I had with that bike
  18. I believe they can't join NATO, both Russia and the West know this. As there is a territory dispute they can't join or is limited likelyhood of it ever happening. Issue is the West is too reliant on Russia and China for most things, that why they are buying up Africa with loans too lots of precious resources in Africa etc
