  1. I've not seen that before I may give that a go!
  2. I'm doing some clearing out and found this book in paperback. Printed in 1991 so suitable for those with older bikes. Free to whoever wants it just cover the postage. I'd rather someone get use of it.
  3. Cast wheels are easier than spoked, if your profile is up to date you have cast wheels. I tend to rinse the whole bike down with a low pressure jet washer. Snow foam leave for 10 then blast over again. Then use the 2 bucket method of cleaning. After that I have a spray bottle with silkolene fuchs off {like muc off} spray the wheels and then go over by hand with a wet microfibre cloth that should do it. You can use parafin on any stubborn bits. Spray on degreasers tend to be expensive for what they are. Then rinse wheels again. I put silicone type spray on after in the in winter months makes cleaning next time easier just make sure you avoid the tyres and brakes.
  4. AJS version at a reasonable price a few little things that could be replaced, spares are easily available via ajs I believe. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AJS-Tempest-125cc-2019-/154791630066?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l6249&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0
  5. Kevin keeps godin in these other articles now we must be hurting his feelings! We love you really Kevin
  6. Matt, what are you looking to do after your cbt. Stick with a 125 or look to go bigger? It depends where you live along with other things but as you are new to bikes this will push the price up along with the fact they are easy to steal when you are out and about. Without the garage it would have been higher. The tempest is an older lexmoto model, I believe it has stainless exhaust and better then older models however if you are buying new you should be able to pick one up well below 2k. As its been said crazy service Intervals. If you can do the maintainance yourself it's not hard on a 125 and would keep your costs down as most likely the fitted tyres will be a bit shit in the wet and need changing
  7. I cant really help with advice re your investment. I hope it does well for you and you get the break you need. Nice to get a new member from another part of the world!
  8. Talking of slightly different bikes I always liked the idea of the yamaha szr660 a sporty little single!
  9. Of going daft makes you happy and you can afford it why not enjoy it
  10. It's not a company I've heard of I'll be honest, what are their reviews like. With motorcycle kit I tend to want to try it on helmets especially, as its been said their shapes can vary.
  11. Yes no Introductory rates But they give u a renewal price then find a better one Just seem to spend more time sorting Insurance shite out these days
  12. Non bike related but sorted household insurance today. Renewal price £30 higher than last year as usual no claims and having upgraded all the doors and locks etc. A comparison search reduced it by 40 and a call to the current insurer reduced it by £60 does pay to shop around before calling the renewal line. Policy expert I can't complain other than they do try it on with the renewal price!
  13. Like a I didn't add the link lol https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/382189
  14. This is my current lid, it's super light which is a massive plus for me. Interior is comfy, generally well made and has the air pump for the padding to get good fit. Came with clear, tinted visor and the pinlock. A good midprice helmet and fits like a glove
  15. That really looks the business!
  16. Yes rocksalt is a bugger after 1st application of acf it still managed to show itself on the fittings on the brake cables. I've acf greased the vulnerable bits up now. It's just washing it down now after every salty ride the curse of winter riding I guess
  17. I'm with you on the rock and roll lifestyle, just finished filling and painting the ceiling in the box room now office for wife. Just fitting a new light and all being well prep the walls for paper and gloss the woodwork I too know how to live

  20. That one is a bit pricy but looks mint. You wouldn't go wrong with a vstrom and more likely to pick up a bargain with a suzuki
