  1. My old car was awful used to take so long I think they do it like they so you go to the dealer. Our local Halfords used to be quite good for fitting them and they never used to charge what they were meant to for fitting. My current car is way easier to change them
  2. I think they are marketed by Lexmoto. They seem well speced compared to some base Chinese models. I'd so some digging and see where the engine is made it might be loncin they used to make engines for BMW. For me it's not just about cost it would be stuff like dealer support and service intervals as they can be quite low on Chinese bikes. If its a mainstream dealer that has more recognisable brands I'd be more satisfied they they have put the bike together with some care and attention than a smaller dealer that may only deal in Chinese 125s. Maybe take a look at the benelli trk502 and the cbx500 see them in the flesh and hopefully get test ride. Honda maybe able to offer deals like last year's low Apr finance, £500 test ride initiative and 3 yrs free servicing etc. Look at it all and weigh it up sometimes a cheap purchase price can be offset by other factors. Nathan the postman the blogger likes the voge but I personally think they are too new to judge their longevity. They could be an Interesting contender in the 500 market I like the benelli and seem to be good value.
  3. That looks more substantial than the standard one
  4. And here was me gutted paying £15 for mine and realising I could have got it for free with a discount code
  5. Plenty of profanities while ur at it I'm guessing, good luck
  6. Here's the viseo if anyone is interested
  7. Just watched a YouTube video from teapot one he visited this company. I didn't know they were produced in my town, small world. Worth a look at their products I need a new disc lock I may take the plunge and try one! https://image4security.com/
  8. Totally unaware!
  9. Kevin must write more articles than there are days in the year
  10. Looks nice but if I wanted this style of bike I think I'd give the moto guzzi v7 a look, less power but looks the part.
  11. Might be worth a letter or email then a complaint to the ombudsman if no joy. I had issues with quote me happy {I wasn't happy} in 2013 after an rtc they tried to claim was knock for knock. They never resolved. The claim but every time I complained they bunged me £100 each time promised to look into it and didn't. £400 quid better off and 3 years later I had an out of the blue letter with a cheque for £350 saying they reviewed the matter and I was not blame worthy bizarre but all worked out in the end. V frustrating the whole insurance industry I find
  12. Good to find a specialist whose not manufacturer linked. Just had my 11yo fiat bravo mot'd after recent work and annual services of my local alfa/fiat one man outfit sailed through. People knock fiat but it still drives great and he tends to know and niggles and can get spares I'll run it until its not viable 130k miles and it's still as sweet as a nut!
  13. It's just a shame nobody has respect for others. It's like holding a door open takes no time really or effort but just shows a bit of respect. Roads are dangerous places everyone just needs to chill out. Any road user should pull over a little to let faster vehicles pass and the faster vehicle needs to read the road give others space and only pass where safe. I don't like the loony extreme elements of any road user it's a shared space. Cyclists that don't let others pass beware if you suffer an rtc you need to hope the 4 wheeled ambulance coming to your aid isn't held up by another bunch of cyclists. Roads seem to be a vent off for peoples frustrations or short comings. Don't use the roads if your angry take a breath and relax. I avoid rush hour and school run times people are in auto pilot mode, not thinking about hazards.
  14. Not good when you know they are trying to rinse you has that when I had my royal Enfield. Wonder how many have been sucked in!
  15. I can't understand why they have asked for your v5 in such a case if they have not paid out. I'd have retained it as you are the lawful keeper?
  16. So have the insurance paid you out for your claim?
  17. Here's a recent review on the gsxs seems a lot of bike for the money. Worth checking out lots of reviews and some test rides
  18. Isn't that about the same price as fish and chips in London?
  19. Yep you pay then insurance should pay you back. Where did you send your logbook?
  20. If you have recovery get them to pick it up from the pound and drop it off to you. Doesn't matter who has the keys I presume you are the registered keeper and also the lawful owner?
  21. It was a bag for life tho
  22. This could be the solution to prevent Russia Invading the Ukraine. If Ukraine adopts a similar law I think a Russian Amata tank would struggle to pass safely by a gaggle of cyclists or horses. Final defence a solitary padestrian crossing on a junction!
  23. I used to like shark but when I last went trying helmets on I didn't like them and quality didn't seem so good. I like a nice light helmet as I have some upper back pain issues. Wife has an ls2 she loves it and has a good sharp rating. I don't know why it isn't mandatory the sharp rating is shown on the product when you go looking.
  24. Selectspecs.com is who my wife and I use for spare cheap pairs then we get a standard pair from specsavers usually when we have our eye test with the a ti glare stuff which is handy when working on a computer. I have only started needing glasses just over a year now and only use mine for reading. Selectspecs glasses are usually about £6 a pair with £5.99
  25. Saw this article in my news feed quite like visor down articles thought I'd share Visordown: Top of the Flops | 10 Motorcycles that just didn't pop. https://www.visordown.com/features/top-10s/top-flops-10-motorcycles-just-didnt-pop
