  1. Border farce and home office have not been fit for purpose for a while.
  2. I agree with that sentiment however the large companies need to feel the pain a little bit like the consumer. See how things are after a year of financial restrictions on Russia I can't see China proping them up forever.
  3. It's a shame wages don't accelerate at the same rate! I had a 2% rise the year before last and that's about the only one in around 10 years this is where you notice the difference income and expenditure etc
  4. I've heard the efficiency of these very much depends on your type of property it can be a bit of a lottery. Our log supplier has sent us a message saying get your hardwood logs now before the price goes up. Been buying from him for years but can't help thinking he's just trying to cash in on hysteria
  5. Russian sun and wind
  6. So there has been a slight drop in prices https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-60680787.amp However I'm sure it will take a few months for this cost saving to hit the pumps. Our nearest petrol stations are now about 15p higher in price compared to a supermarket about half a mile further on. People moan but you see so many people not driving the extra distance to save a few quid. Sometimes we can be our worst enemy
  7. Yep I thought the same our local garages out the price straight up. Need to keep those shareholders happy
  8. I'd agree with that my hjc went the same way but daily wear I couldnt complain
  9. Well got my new front tyre fitted today, by the time I got home had a message from a friend saying they had covid, hey presto positive test too. Went to a wedding and got covid
  10. My brother had the ioniq great car then swapped for a tesla worst decision ever loads of issues but he and his with are more into keeping up with the jones's
  11. Polestars look great believe based on volvo at the moment but will be some UK production at some point
  12. Whatever your decision put some pics of the bike on here. Most of us (me) are like children learning to read, I don't read the words I look at the pictures
  13. No I would have thought more would have come out by now. They were looking to assemble in Birmingham but I've not heard any more on that. Would be great to compare to a RE interceptor one a single the other a twin. I do like a thunper
  14. Horses for courses but coming from the triple to the AT its different, super flexible and quick enough. I'd say get as many test rides as you can. The ones you sometimes don't rate surprise you and vice versa. As said the new gsx1000gt seems a good bike. I looked at all the information on each bike some I discounted as the low payload once you put a pillion and panniers on it left minimal weight for luggage on some options. Everyone moans about the tech on the AT but I found it easy enough to get used to. Most stuff doesn't need adjusting on the move. I have the manual es version suspension amazing and I thought I'd miss a quick shifter but the gearbox and clutch is spot on.
  15. Can't buy happiness. I'm mulling over a career change v hard after 24 years commitment and can't see myself doing anything different
  16. I've come to the conclusion that in the winter all chain lubes are the same not perfect. I know it's messy but gear oil works, I don't mind the fling off in the winter and then revert to dry lube once the rock salt is gone.
  17. Bazza I understand where it coming from. I u derstand there are improvements on the tracer 9gt, better suspension and it can take more weight, better panniers size wise, that cp3 engine is amazing. The nt1100 doesn't seem to have the same adjustable suspension as on the africa twin. Although heavy I've had no issues with the AT it truly does it all. Best way is to get some test rides for sure
  18. Metzeler tourance next 2 going on the front of mine tomorrow morning
  19. That looks great. I think plywood is great stuff to work with
  20. I don't think they do want to use force. They have refused a no fly zone for that very reason. Looks like they want to provide Ukraine with the tools to defend their sovereignty I think Putin and his cronies were the only ones who wanted this but I may be wrong. No media outlet is 100% correct some worse than others.
  21. Its the modern way design everything so we have to buy more
  22. Yup had them in the 70s, could be more to do with covid or global warming too
  23. Every day is a school day, learnt something new there. As I gave to the red cross I'll donete to them too. I'm off booze for lent so Ill use the cash I'd have spent on a few pints or a bottle of scotch for this instead
  24. They may not ping automatic cameras the black plates which can be an issue if its stolen. If you do get stopped word of warning plod can inform the dvla who can withdraw the plate its expensive to apply for a new one. Vosa and dvla do some stop checks with police. I know they look nice but sometimes risks outweigh benefits etc
