  1. I do wonder why OE is crimped not soldered Cost? Reliability? Longevity? Hmmm ...
  2. Bit late now ..... but I had mine in different colours so I could instantly know which went in which ear.
  3. So, Electrical terminals: Crimp ...Solder...Or both? A genuine question as I’m chopping up the harness on the Triphy project. Got these to do ( at least ), I’ve unpicked the connectors & now want to shorten the wires without having additional joints.
  4. Youngster,'s will vote for the most left wing snowflake party they can ...... the fools But you underestimate them, some I have spoken to have been organising tactical voting campaigns to get the Tories out. Mostly through local FB groups. If that’s happening across the country who knows what will happen.

  6. To be fair, how was he supposed to see that coming? It got out what he was going to do and the gold price dramatically dropped and he still went ahead and done it ,lost millions . DOH ... it was a joke based upon his diminished ocular capacity...I’ll make sure I add a laughing emoji in future for the terminally dim / drunk

  8. To be fair, how was he supposed to see that coming?
  9. England last won the football World Cup under a Labour government, well done Harold Wilson. England last failed to even qualify for the World Cup under a Tory government, useless John Major. This makes as much sense as the rest of the pseudo political dick waving on this site.
  10. look at them puppies ... It's a shame I don't live in Scotland . I have to confess to having a bit of a thing for Nichola Sturgeon , mainly because I had a girlfriend who looked a lot like her . Whenever I see her on TV she stirs some pleasingly filthy memories . Would I ? Well I'd have to vote YES ! FFS Bob, she looks like Jimmy/Jeanette Krankie .... Your filthy memories must involve a lot of Dwarf tossing

    cyclist twat

What language was that twat speaking? I couldn’t understand a word !!
  12. One of the issues I’ve discovered over the years is that mostly my boots have worn the tread away on the soles before any other problems arose. This maybe a product of having metal rather than rubber foot pegs. Once the soles are worn my feet start to slip off the pegs. I’ve looked at getting them re-soled but at the cost people quote I bite the bullet & buy new ones. Current are Alpinstars SMX5’s WP, £135 from the bike show 5 years ago, they’ve been great but starting to look very worn on the soles, so probably look for new ones next year.
  13. Treated the Trophy to new chain & sprockets ( bargain £67 from M&P + free P&P ) They won’t be fitted until this fine young man is available to assist ( as I have promised ). Grandson Harry - budding mechanic ( I hope )
  14. How about something from here?
  15. Says the weirdo who traps his Vagina in his zip and first thought is to take a photo of it and post online Fixed that for you
  16. Lots of reasons why not, but mostly because I’m playing a longer game to score a second bike - although at 58, it can’t be too long !!
  17. Awwww, shucks, thanks. I get to pick my birthday prezzie at the bike show on Sunday - but there is a £200 max budget.

    Chain Oil

REALLY...... So it’s in their best interests to make your chain last longer is it ??
  19. I have just purchased a Motorhome that has exactly the same issue i.e. the on line MoT check had a Spike in mileage at some point, however it had a fully stamped up service history that matched with the seller’s story & not with the DVLA. An inspection of the vehicle also confirmed it did have the wear & tear that would be seen in a vehicle with the mileage claimed by the seller & no worse. The only conclusion I could come to was that some MoT tester suffered fat finger syndrome & entered the incorrect mileage. My advice would be to examine the service history & all documentation that comes with it & examine the condition of the bike to see if it stacks up with claimed mileage. If you smell anything fishy or you are not comfortable with it : walk away, they’ll be another one along soon enough.

    Ear plugs!

Always have, always will. A mate’s girl friend was doing a Uni course to qualify as an audiologist, she was doing a thesis on hearing damage in motorcyclists, I took part in the research by answering some questions & having a hearing test ( which I performed well at, although the Missus asked for a retest ) I never actually got to see the final thesis as they split up, but apparently there was a very strong correlation between greater hearing loss in a certain range for motorcyclists who did not wear ear plugs & / or preferred open face helmets.
  21. So, I have been contemplating the future of the internal combustion engine & electric powered vehicles and have a question nagging away in the back of my mind: When people have moved from I.C.E’s how will the Government fill the holes in their coffers created by the lack of revenue from petrol / diesel? I haven’t found an answer, so have created some of my own: A/ They will tax electricity ( from 5% to say 25% and not being able to differentiate between domestic consumption and that being used to power vehicles everyone will be hit weather they use a vehicle or not B/ The VLD will be increased - thus hitting everyone with an electric vehicle regardless of how much electric they consume. C/ There will be charge for every mile completed - this would mean the Government having access to this information directly from your vehicle & be able to charge you directly having access to your bank account. D/ Sell pre paid cards that are inserted into a vehicle before it can operate, they can thus remove this privilege by cancelling the card if you digress in any way. None of the above options appeals to me in anyway, so unless anyone can come up with any other suggestions I will not be using or promoting the use of electric vehicle My head hurts !!
