  1. No way am I clicking on that link !!! ( while the missus is in the room )
  2. I wish someone would knock these scumbags off. This is the commentary from a local Cov neighbour hood forum. “These two were racing up and down Bannerbrook Park, on park pathways and grass near children, yesterday @ 6.30pm. When challenged by a couple of ladies they threatened to kill them and their dog and stole a phone off a third lady. Possibly seen coming from Jardine Crescent area, weaving very dangerously through traffic. Nearly hit a car turning right. No plates on bike, but someone must know them. All info is best passed on directly to the Police as they are looking for them” As this is only a mile from home, I will be looking to give them a tap if I see them!!
  3. Wonder what would have happened if someone had pinged a can of beans off their nut?
  4. It means: Take it a a local area of rough ground, torch it & claim on the insurance!!
  5. But isn't that the speed your supost to filter ... Maybe not if the traffic is only doing 25 MPH But each to their own, everyone has to accept the potential consequences of their actions.
  6. If it’s the one in Uppingham, it’s a lovely ride along the B664 from / to Market Harborough, then to / from Lutterworth & Then Cov .
  7. Yep, MCN I still have a black Speedtriple.... but a newer one.
  8. You didn’t used to ride a yellow Daytona??
  9. The driver of this van!! The inconsiderate, selfish d*ck head has parked it so all pedestrians have to step in to a busy road to get round it. I had a look round & couldn’t see the dumb ass ( assumed they’d have some kind of oily ass branded workwear ) No way we’re they in a job as it’s a residential road .... C. U. Next Tuesday!!
  10. The only problem I see with that, is you'll get some nasty bi**h of a horse owner who will whip the poor blighter into submission to keep it walking, trotting or whatever horses do. Hmmm ... you got her number?
  11. You are quite correct, they don’t corner as a “normal” bike. When they get to a corner the wind on the throttle to get the rear tyre to break traction, they then counter steer with the front using their body weight, throttle & clutch to get the required line angle & grip. It’s a much misunderstood and under appreciated skill. I was gutted when Brandon shut down & Coventry Bees were disbanded, used to go up half dozen times a season.
  12. I’ve done the exact same one 4 times. It’s a brilliant day. You will have to have some level of physical fitness as it’s hard work - I found arm pump & sore legs a pain ( but then I am an old git ) You use all the latest KTM bikes ( you are encouraged to swap around to experience the different bikes ) They provide all the kit ( Helmets, shirts, body armour, trousers, knee armour, boots, gloves & socks ) Take your own pack up but nothing that will fill you up too much as it will make you lethargic & there is nothing dignified about scrabbling to get you helmet off as lunch reappears. You start with a brief chat about what will happen During the day, intro’s to the trainers & bikes, & warnings about the consequences of dicking about. 1st off you will select a bike ( first come 1st served for choice so elbows out & a quick sprint will see you ok ) On a flat field you will show off your low speed control doing figure of eights & lock to lock circles, once they are confident you’re all ok then it’s off into the hills and a small motocross type track, you learn: How to tackle steep hills ( up, down, across & turning on them ) Grass / mud Ditches / marshes Gravel / water & loads of other stuff I’ve forgotten. After lunch sometimes there is a split into two grips if there seems to be a skills gap. The trainers are good, willing to answer questions & provide advice, always try to get in ear shot when they are explaining something ( not always easy with some of the inconsiderate bibs that attend ) It’s best with mates for maximum piss taking opportunities. Do your best & you will love it. It’s in the middle of nowhere so make sure you know where you're going before hand as the signs aren’t great. Think that’s all !!
  13. I was product testing the new Apple gesture control system. It was going well until I wanted to browse some porn, I gave it the W*nkers hand signal & this popped up. Apparently it’s not a bug !!
  14. Yes. I've just come back from a weekend at a campsite in Thirsk, which was rammed full of Geordies acclimatising themselves to the south before venturing down to Bridlington for their summer hols in a few weeks time. They were certainly an unusual breed, and would have made interesting subjects for anthropological study. Besides having clothes several sizes too small to cover their truly obscene beer guts and having the obligatory lower leg 'England' tattoo permanently on display, they were remarkable mainly for their social interactions: they appeared to communicate almost exclusively by breaking wind and burping, both as loudly as possible, which I suppose is an evolutionary adaptation designed to overcome the linguistic difficulties posed by having a fag permanently clamped between the lips. The closest to human speech they managed was "Jayden, ya f*ckin' bastad, gerover 'ere now or I'll put ma too oop y'arse hool." And the blokes were just the same. gotta love the geordies eh, if you think they are hard to understand you don't want to meet a mackam they are worse......why did we ever move to Sunderland I’ve never been to Sunderland ...... trod in some once !!
  15. Went to a pub once waiting for my mate to finish work. Ended up playing pool with Ali Campbell ( UB40 )
  16. Here’s some pics of some of the stuff on display & in the car park.
  17. The best helmet cam picks up the misdemeanours of other road users, while ignoring your own & only captures your heroic moments while not incriminating yourself.
  18. On tomorrow Anyone going?

The stretch from Coulport to Arrochar has plenty of loch side opportunities. Sorry mate, but all I'm seeing is a narrow road ( I got stuck behind a car here and could not find one passing opportunity ) and either a wall or a metal barrier . I am seeing an oil terminal and the nuclear sub base . Passed the base at Portincaple, there’s woods on the right ( although on a steep hill side) & on the left there are camping opportunities on the loch side over the wall, or in the woods on the LHS.

Thanks for the tip . Where exactly on Loch Long did you have in mind ? It looks a bit civilized on GMaps . To be honest , if I've made it that far by nightfall I'll probably press on to Bridge of Orchy and camp across the bridge behind the hotel . The stretch from Coulport to Arrochar has plenty of loch side opportunities.

Have a good ‘un Bob. If you get a chance visit the banks of Loch Long ( just passed Helensburgh), great scenery & lots of places suitable for wild camping.
  22. There are double whites & double whites. The use of these has increased to stop the terminally stupid trying to overtake in a distance their inadequate tin boxes have no chance of making - although it’s a traffic offence (if you’re caught, then tough shit ) there are many occasions a bike can make a perfectly safe pass, not that I would do that of course, oh no, that would be naughty.
  23. I was filtering between slow/queuing traffic down Towcester high street on Sunday, a police car coming in the opposite direction moved over slightly to give me more room, I gave the driver an especially vigorous wave in thanks. The twat in the BMW 4x4 who deliberately tried to close the gap got an equally vigorous but different wave.
  24. On tomorrow Anyone going?
