1. Right folks. Looks like the Trophy engine will have to have some open heart surgery. I was looking at an engine stand to support it while being worked on ( it can’t just be rested on the bench as it’s not stable ). The problem is that the engine hangs off bosses on the block at the front which would be utilised by a stand but the blocks going to have to come off. Now it’s a bloody heavy lump so would just hanging it off the 2 sets of rear fixing points be ok or has anyone got better ideas?
2. Yep, one will be in our back garden & the grandkids will love it !! Along with burgers & faggot & pea batches.
3. & that’s why the Guy goes on top of the bonfire
4. Fireworks but the same would apply to cats, dogs etc. Don't dislike cats or dogs, just don't want the hassle or expense of owning any again. We had two cats some years ago, well the Mrs and kids did, I just stumped up the vet bills, picked up the turds in the garden, put up with cat hair everywhere, clawed doors and furniture, yelling at them to get off the settee or kitchen worktops; lots of positives really. get a dog , cats are just weird little fookers. Who you calling weird??
5. Ladies and gentlemen of the class of '97 Wear sunscreen If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be it A long-term benefits of sunscreen have been proved by scientists Whereas the rest of Six30 advice is shite !! But trust him on the Sunscreen

RIP...

Just another tax dodging tub thumper that Janette Krankie can’t rely on.
7. Ah, the curse of the torx head bolt ! Have you tried hammering in a similar sized but slightly larger Allen bit? I would drill it & use a bolt extraction kit, not a complicated job.
8. On a less serious note, when inspecting a previous bike of mine, the MoT guy always asked if I still had the original number plate & exhaust at home, I assured him I had to which he replied “ good, coz those ( pointing to my bike ) weren’t fitted when I inspected it !!” He has now tightened up a bit & sent my mate home to fit a legal pipe before he would give him the ticketi, which my mate did & then promptly went home & refitted the grunty one.
9. Any European standard markings will soon be null & void & only proper British standard markings will be allowed. Any bike not sporting a BS kite mark on its exhaust will be crushed & it will serve the owner right for buying stuff off anyone that supports that EU shite or even worse .... a foreigner

No Excuse!

You really are trying toooo hard to retain your TOTY title
11. That would be for you & the bike .....
12. He's not top tier though! Proper amateur Well, there lies the conundrum, is a professional Twat actually a twat? In trying hard to craft the art of twattiness & portraying a continual aura of twatish behaviour in order to gain the crown of TOTY surely they are more cunning than truly a prize twat. It can only go to someone who is earnest & truly believes in what they say while all around are thinking “What a Twat!!”
13. So is this the look you're working towards for your Harley? Definitely be able to see you coming although the hysterical laughter may cause accidents. Nope, he’d blend into the background in his home village of Earlsdon
14. I’ve got this, I find it best to spray it into the cap then use a small paint brush to apply.
15. So the Trophy went onto the Dyno & the results were disappointing to say the least: It also decided to mark it’s territory while on the Dyno So the official diagnosis is “it’s a bit poorly” I suspected it was running lean, but the misfire, clutch slip & oil leak were new news.
16. TOTY time again , that's come round quick , still not got last years prize Another instance of getting pissed over by the Management! Fixed that for you
17. Will that be retrospective? If so imagine all those Gammons turning puce with rage at the cheek of some Dago questioning their ability to drive while pissed up on cheap local plonk Nice little earner for for the local test centres as well ... maybe a business opportunity for a savvy expat. The Gammons are f@cked Mickly.......because the tests inc theory would all be in Spanish! And I guarantee that all of that type here (and there'll be a lot of them) have been under the radar for years. They haven't paid into the system in terms of taxes or healthcare.......so if they go to register now for residency the authorities are going to be questioning how they've been existing here over the years. Real can of worms right there. Of course they can go all go back to Britain if they wish......but as I understand it they won't have health cover or benefits for 6 months upon their return. But they knew what they were voting for! Be really funny if the Spanish government expelled them & they had to get back to Britain in a kiddies inflatable boat as the borders are closed to migrants
18. I've had a Spanish licence since 2008 or thereabouts. No test required......because of the EU equivalence. From January on that will change......and Brits will have the same third country status as Americans, Aussies etc.....so they'll need to retake tests. Will that be retrospective? If so imagine all those Gammons turning puce with rage at the cheek of some Dago questioning their ability to drive while pissed up on cheap local plonk Nice little earner for for the local test centres as well ... maybe a business opportunity for a savvy expat.
19. Is Bikesure still affiliated to this site? If so might be worth contacting them & claiming a TMBF discount?
20. Dug the Trophy out of the garage at the end of the garden, through the conservatory & utility room onto the drive to go into the back of my mate’s van. It’s off tomorrow to have its fuelling sorted by someone who knows what they are doing. In another post I complained about Simoniz VHT paint being shite , we’ll .... I started the Trophy last night to check that all was ok & in the dark I noticed the header pipes glowing red after only a couple of minutes ... so I reckon it’s running a tad lean & maybe getting to well above 800*C so the paint might not have been at fault.
21. I’d typed up quite a long diatribe but some how it got lost in the Internetsphere. So in short, I’m generally ok but when the black cloud comes down, it’s a different matter, no warning or reason, just a horrible feeling of hopelessness that I have to hide & ride out until it leaves. Also my brain is against me as it keeps bringing up things from my past that I hoped I’d forgotten, mostly early hours of the morning but can take me unawares at any moment, it only reminds me of how poorly I’ve acted in the past through my actions/inaction, these thoughts stop me in my tracks & play on my mind for days later until they slowly recede, the only time it doesn’t happen is on my bike or at the gym. Even having stopped working 2 1/2 years ago I still get Flash backs to conversations I wish I hadn’t had. It can be anything that comes back, from small stuff like being late for school up to real tear ups. From the outside I appear fine but inside I’m falling apart.
22. Add to that Simoniz high temperature satin black paint on exhaust headers, allegedly good up to 800 degrees C, started up the Trophy, the paint gave off some noxious gases, I thought “ok it’s curing” after 5 mins the smoke died down & left me with flaking paint & a white discolouration!! Absolute shite !!
23. fastbob what do you use to paint crank cases? I used Simoniz tough black with Halfords petrol resistant laquer, as soon as a bit of petrol leaked (from a loose carb drain screw & a hose joint) on to them it all crinckled and peeled off
