Having gone back to check, it does seem that Thumpertalk provides that functionality as "all activity". Another site I tried did something completely different so I suspect that it's all in the set-up. And don't forget it can be user configurable so if you register and login you may be able to change it Yes, looks like I can pick my own colours too

Untitled.png Tried that, Stu, but it didn't do quite what I expected Perhaps it can be set up within a range of parameters, though.

Just flagging again that I haven't seen a page that lists the latest topics/latest posts (same thing really) in any of the example forums we've been pointed towards - the only thing I've clocked so far as a sidebar with the latest half dozen posts listed. Will this definitely be possible?

Donated, Stu, and looking forward to the new platform.

I've already said yes once, but... XTreme Swagman Bender gymwitch dynax Tiggie learningtofly Can this software be set up to replicate our current Active Topics page, as I think that's pretty crucial (just my own view, mind)?

Do you have a link for those? The chain adjusters as opposed to grenades https://www.lightechuk.com Thanks very much, although sadly there's nothing for Triumph. Better sell the bike and get another Beemer

Sounds like it could be a good move, Stu, and I'd be happy with it (and to continue contributing towards it). Do you know of any forums we can go take a look at, merely out of curiosity?

Overbearing Wives putting the kybosh on Bikes!
learningtofly replied to XTreme's topic in General Chat
I took quite a long hiatus from biking having stopped in my mid-twenties with a CB250 Dream, and when I met my current wife (I've had a few ) it wasn't even a subject of discussion. However, as I edged inexorably towards my fifties it became something that I increasingly yearned for again, and we had many conversations about it - over a period of years, in fact - that ended along the lines of "Forget it - you're not getting a bike and that's final!". The real catalyst for me was when my son took his CBT a few years ago, which was effectively the final straw. I said to Bea that the issue was no longer a matter of "if" but "when", and that I was no longer asking. She still hates the fact that I ride, and I know she gets herself in a bit of a state every time I go out on the bike. I can sympathise with that and I do reassure her every now and then, but unfortunately she's going to have to live with it. -
The Future of Bike Coms.
learningtofly replied to onesea's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
Sounds like hell on earth . Reminds me of these poor bast*rds who have to work on a laptop on trains when they could be meditating or just looking out of the window and noticing things . There's enough tech in everyday life to drive you round the twist without plugging it into your head when you're on your motorcycle . Love you, Bob -
he's indescribably vile. As an aside, I've just asked for my account at The Triumph Forum to be deleted as a consequence of the rabid support for him over there. It sickened me so much I couldn't participate there any longer. You Flounced ?? More of a tactical withdrawal Being serious, though, I use the Internet for many purposes, but I participate on forums solely for leisure/pleasure. No point hanging out somewhere that I neither like nor enjoy

Well, it's certainly a case of the latter (I would say that, being a Triumph-riding leftie libertarian myself), but some of the posts were blood-curdling they were so extreme. There's a bit of a power struggle going on over there as well (with the same gobshites at the root of it), and it's certainly not the place I stopped posting on a couple of years ago when I bought the R9T.

You couldn't make it up. Giuliani took the circus the the Four Seasons, errr... landscaping company (instead of the hotel) by mistake. The adjacent dildo store was just a hilarious bonus

Very effective at removing foreskin cheese as well according to @Six30. Not got one of them so I’m destined never to derive maximum value from it!

I thought this was going to be about getting rid of people who don't like their jobs

Bars can open till 6......but I think a full lockdown is going to happen soon. It was more the free tapas... do they still do that?

They work on my MacBook Pro/Chrome.

As a complete aside, my ex and her brother co-owned a nice little apartment in Aguadulce (the family home from a time when they lived there with their parents), and consequently I got to know Almeria quite well. It's a nice part of Spain, and many a night we'd go out for a few drinks and just feast ourselves on the free tapas that came with them. I doubt that would happen now.

The joys of rural motorcycling

Bloody hell - that road the blood biker came off on! -
It was actually pretty easy - a few minutes per pipe and no aching muscles afterwards.

I decided to get rid of some discolouration (the kind that doesn't look nice) on my header pipes. First time I've used Solvol Autosol and I have to say that I'm pretty impressed. Before... After...

Same. There are only two things that matter though, and that's timing and the extent of the blip. Practice makes perfect, I guess.
