  1. Anyone? Happy to make it 15% off for the pair
  2. This. It's not dissimilar to the difference between my old Street triple and new R9T, so I'm just giving myself some time to get used to it (and riding accordingly in the meantime).
  3. That wasn't confusing at all
  4. As a matter of interest, has anyone failed an MOT running a 7x5" plate?
  5. Congratulations - seemingly a wonderful bike that I'd love to take out for a test one day. Nearly went that route myself but given my record I'm sure i will at some point
  6. I think the more important question is what you could have done differently to preclude the risk of harm/injury. My gut feeling is that you didn't have the necessary gap to safely pull out and overtake when you did, and you should therefore have waited in the left lane until you did. Anyway, I wasn't there and the important thing is that you're okay.
  7. Cagers are definitely getting worse. Some seem to have this enormous entitlement ego (apologies to any ladies who might read this), bit young girls seem to be the worst. I could write a book on some of the outrageous stuff I've seen and on one or two occasions, been on the blunt end of. I checked out your youtube channel. Very impressive. Oh, cheers! I'm still pretty new but will hopefully improve as time goes by
  8. The joker who thought it was funny to turn my bar end mirrors upside down yesterday whilst I parked up for a sneaky ice cream. And then the two total knob-heads who tried to run me off the road last night by pulling level with me and then forcing me out of the lane. Are cagers even more demented in the hours of darkness?
  9. Mesh textile trousers are the way to go. Reinforced/armoured jeans will be hot in the summer.
  10. Firstly, that looks more like vandalism to me. Secondly, what proof do you have that the car owner is liable? It seems none, and if that's the case you're likely to be told to naff off.
  11. You're welcome any time - coffee and biscuits, naturally
  12. Pretty sure you said that about the Striple when you ditched the Street Twin Yep. I know this guy - he'll have a diavel within the year and tell us t's the only bike he'll ever need
  13. That’s beautiful! Really. Yes, I was in the chair for about 9 (6+3) hours for one of mine, and the longer it goes on the more it hurts.
  14. Oh thanks. I’m pretty new to this game so go easy on me!
  15. Yeah, spot on. Sorry if I'm coming across as an enabler, but I have to say that there's no substitute for experience
  16. I've just posted a video on YouTube of the new bike - it's if you fancy a gander
  17. Perhaps just start by reading the Highway Code.
  18. Pretty much, although I first saw it back in October last year. Had the timing been a little different I’d have bought it then. Yes, I love the bike. I should have got an R9T from the start.
  19. Far, far more torque, Geoff (116 v 77 NM) - more like the Diavel than the Triple in that respect. It's not as nimble, though, nor as up to date in terms of tech.
  20. Well, I think I've now settled on the boots that I'll be wearing with my new bike. Accordingly, i have a couple of pairs of superb quality and lightly worn boots in size 42/8 that are now surplus to requirements. Both are in completely undamaged/unscuffed condition and in reality have seen very little road action as I've gravitated towards some old Diesel boots instead. Please note that if someone wants the two pairs I'll discount the combined cost by 10%. First up is a pair of TCX Vibe waterproof boots in black, which you can see at Superbikeshop here. Suede leather construction with Air Tech fabric panels for breathability Padded upper collar for increased comfort Reflex insert on the heel Waterproof internal lining Malleolus inserts and PVC micro-injected ankle guard on both sides Bycast leather shift pad Speed lacing system and Velcro band with micro-injected insert Anatomic and replaceable footbed High performance rubber sole designed to offer superior grip and stability These are really lovely boots both on and off the bike, and I'd like £75 delivered. Next is a pair of Alpinestars Ridge V2 Drystar boots, again in black, and this time more bike-oriented than the TCX. Superbikeshop has them here. Hard wearing microfibre construction Front and rear flex zones for enhanced comfort Hook and loop retention with the zip closure system TPU injected shift pad for added durability Waterproof and breathable Drystar membrane Ergonomic shape for long-lasting comfort Double layer reinforced shin plating Dual-density complete ankle protection Contoured midsole follows the shape of the foot Anatomic EVA foam foot-bed for comfort Vulcanised rubber sole for enhanced grip Another great pair of boots (they fit easily inside straight leg jeans, by the way), for which I'd like £90. This is a UK sale, and the cost includes the normal tracked and insured delivery. Remember it's 10% off for the two pairs as well.
  21. I'd love that to be right, but sadly I know it won't. The Diavel is too expensive and would be the wrong bike to be riding in London traffic Anyway, I had an interesting day yesterday - nipped over to the Bike Shed quite early in the day with a friend, and then we rode across town to the Ace Cafe. Heavy traffic but the 9T handled it well with lots of filtering and some rapid nipping in and out of, and around the endless lines of cars. I did feel it a bit by the time I got home, although some of that will just be the inevitable tension of a first central London ride on a new bike. Another quick phone shot (@Hoggs) from the end of the day...
  22. Stepping stone, Geoff
