  1. Have a look at the MK1 Versys 1000
  2. I believe peeps were right in thinking this a spam account @geofferz A little more subtle than others, but still spam
  3. Fitted a Denali sound bomb mini. (Still twice as big a the OEM) Bought a relay harness off eBay in order for it to work as it blew the horn/brake light fuse on test. 113dB should wake the dozy ones up!!
  4. Working days yesterday, today and tomorrow
  5. Just can’t get the staff!
  6. Let us know if it improves.
  7. @bonio gutted for you If the bung looks ok then I wouldn’t bother replacing unless you can’t live with the visible damage. Would you tackle the situation a different way if I was unavoidable again? i.e. Would you go through slower/faster. Get your boots wet by keeping feet down. Get your boots wet by trying to scrape the algae off to make a line for your tyres (thinking outside the box here) Higher revs. Your hindsight may one day help someone else out. Including me. I’ve encountered a ford 3 times in the past but have been able to avoid them…well the 1st one in a fashion. I had my wife on the back and bottled it on the approach. I stopped and lost balance and dropped the bike (very very slowly as I was more concerned about my wife) That did my back right in. The road was wide enough to turn around. The second, I had room to turn around by getting off the bike and doing a 5 point turn. I nearly killed myself though. If the gradient had been any steeper I wouldn’t have managed it! The 3rd was a really wide one but luckily the was a foot bridge over it, so I used it. My mate shot through on his GS had trail/enduro tyres on so maybe they made a difference??
  8. I actually like the look of that. Unfortunately that’s as far as it goes. mots bloody heavy for an 800 and the price will be premium and it’s Chinese https://www.bennetts.co.uk/bikesocial/news-and-views/news/2021/april/official-cfmoto-800mt-launched
  9. The 50 mphs are starting to appear in N E Lincs and the now. Appeared on a nice stretch of the A46 from Market Rasen to almost Caistor. It was one of my favourite stretches but I avoid it as much as I can now. Also the A18 from the A46 through to almost the A16 was a favourite. Most of it has been a 50 for a good few years but they’ve turned the south end to 50 now. We’ll all be grinding to halt soon
  10. Took the shock off ready for the new one arriving tomorrow (long bloody wait!) pretty easy to get off. Up on centre stand Took rear hugger off. 3 x plastic rivets Chain cover off. 1 x bolt, 1 x metal clip 3 x lengths of timber wedged under back wheel Cable tie on front brake. Easy access to shock top bolt through designed hole in frame. took about 20 mins. Working the next 2 days so either get the new one on tomorrow or Wednesday night ready for testing and tweaking Thursday.
  11. Happy Birthday
  12. Happy Birthday Stu.
  13. That seat look horrendously uncomfortable!!
  14. Exactly. Sod the bird. I think you’d be saying the same thing if you hit a Volvo too
  15. Glad you got sorted. I wouldn’t be able to wait a month knowing my bike was sat waiting for me. Not sure the dealer would be happy with the bike taking up space either. Enjoy your new bike!
  16. It’s simple to get round that. Just ask a mate to put a bid on for the price you want. If they win then through eBay the seller can cancel the sale or vice verse. Just a loophole in eBay No one knows the winning bid is a mate.
  17. I suspect the charging lead is not compatible with the phone. it happened to me before when I bought a cheap lead.
  18. If yours not going to have a pillion, I’d say they are sitting just right. I wouldn’t want them any lower than that tbh. Looks like you will get loads I them.
  19. Nothing like that feeling of getting a new bike. Enjoy
  20. I know you already have the Hagon springs, but Hyperpro do actually do springs for your bike. £133 delivered. https://www.webshop-hyperpro.com/en/motorbike/suzuki/gsf-650-n-bandit/gsf-650-n-bandit/2005-2006/suspension/front-suspension/fork-spring-kit/SP-SU06-SSA019 In the photo they supply SAE15. Maybe something to think about if you’re going to put heavier oil in.
  21. Also if not enough rebound your spring back too quickly. Too much and if you hit a series of bumps the spring won’t have time to come back up and it will feel like it packs down. Your description sounds like you don’t have enough rebound dialled in. Could also be a combination of things. I see you’re in Doncaster. I recently had my springs done by a guy who’s in Worksop. Track Prep Racing. His details are on FB. If you’re struggling with things give him a call. I highly recommend him.
