1. Rather than starting a new thread, I thought I would piggyback off this one since the question is the same. I'm hoping Mawsley has more info on what he eventually decided to do since there's been no activity on this since the last post. My MOT is due in less than a month and I'm very undecided on if I should get the bike MOT'ed or not. Since Covid-19 kicked off, I've not had to use my bike much this year, I mainly use it for commuting to and from work but since lockdown, I'm been a home worker so rarely I go out on it during the weekdays and with the colder months upon us I don't know if I should wait it out till the warmer weather again and MOT it then or if I should just get it over and done with now. I have a driveway so I can easily SORN the bike if I go for the latter. Is there anyone else in this forum that is facing the same dilemma as me? If so, what have/did you decide to do? Thank you.
2. Well done sir! Here is the latest table as per request: 1 rennie GBR 929.0 2 SuzukiRF GBR 859.5 3 Hoggs' Hooners GBR 817.0 4 Petrolhedz GBR 682.0 5 My little mule GBR 506.0
3. It's definitely affected my gold rider selection going into this race. It's going to be an interesting race if any of my predictions come to fruition.
4. His run of luck in the last few races weren't great either.
5. Smarty piggybacks off the 3 network so it really is a no brainer if you are already using the 3 network just now. Just like giffgaff and Tesco mobile piggyback off the O2 network. I personally use giffgaff as much like Smarty they are cheaper & provide better benefits for the prices than the 'parent' brand. My brother uses Smarty as he was originally on 3 and has not had all issues with the transition.
6. Well done dynax. All the best on your Mods!
7. Fair enough Mike, I did recall you planning to take the DAS course a while back but understand that was before everything turned to crap this year. Good luck on your mods though! I did have a taster session about a year ago on a 600 fazer but didn't really gel with it, which didn't inspire me much to carry on, even now still not overly bothered going for the full A, one reason i have held back is that from 1st November the EU will be reducing the A2 requirement to a 250cc instead of a 400cc, and my plan was to wait and see if we follow suit over here, but i can't find any relevent info which probably means there won't be any changes for us Ah, that's right, your brought that up in the forum a while ago about that too. If we do follow suit with EU, it's going to be quite a big jump from A2 to full A if that was the case, lol, we just don't understand their logic on this!
8. Do your full test! its the same test! you can then ride any bike you want even if you do stick to a 125 at least you have the option My CBT expires in 6 months, doing the A1 is cheaper than taking another CBT and does not expire, doing the full A would mean using a school and at this point in time i don't have the spare funds and by the time i do my CBT may well have expired which would mean more unneccessary expense Fair enough Mike, I did recall you planning to take the DAS course a while back but understand that was before everything turned to crap this year. Good luck on your mods though!
9. Did I do well? I knew that randomisation would finally come good. Yeah, you scored the most points in that race. You can check how you did on the MotoGP fantasy website.
10. I was doing so well with my gold riders being on the front row going into this race too. I spent most of the race thinking the results are finally going to be in goat's favor with his cool brand finally doing well.
11. Yup, having some inner gloves really do make a difference, it's getting cold at nights now, the past few weekends when I've been riding home at night, I have started to feel the chills from the temperature dropping at night.
12. I'm glad to see Crutchlow in the 2nd row, that's a good result considering the year he's had so far.
13. I shall be eagerly waiting for the free practice results before I make my changes.
14. Can you get your knee down on ice though ? Good question, I want to know how many riders on this forum actually goes out and practices this when the roads are icy!
15. Happy Birthday!! hope you're having a good one!
16. Yes they are. lol, would have been odd if they didn't since they did the other two.
17. I can't vouch for Zero 3 but I do own a pair of Zero 2 and they are my go to pair of gloves when I ride in the winter,I can say they provide decent protection and warmth for my commute to work. I also swap them around from time to time with my Richa Cold protect gore-tex gloves but they don't provide as good protection as the Zero 2.
18. I have in the past listened to music when I was commuting to/from work, mainly to kill boredom when stuck in traffic. Most of the time I don't realise the music is playing in the background until I have stopped at the lights; I also only have one earphone on as having two would be slightly dangerous IMO.
19. Like this race's 2nd place rider, I'm edging closer and closer to rennie's position! I would have hoped for a different result but I'm happy to see my namesake on the podium.
20. What a race, somehow I made good predictions in that race....by luck.
21. Hi Mike, How are you getting the bike then? Is the seller going to drop the bike off or are you going to meet the seller at theirs? Personally I won't buy anything on just photos alone as there is no telling when the photos were taken. Also is it a commercial or private seller that is selling this bike? All the questions you have mentioned in your post are things you should inspect when you are physically next to the bike as you're just blind trusting the seller to not lie to you on their responses.
22. Even though I have Apple TV, I plan to watch this once the whole show is out. I'm in the I've watched the other two so may as well watch this one camp. It has been ages since the last two came out so I hardly remember anything about them but I did find the trailer for this one funny when all the kids didn't seem to know what Star Wars are,
23. Yeah, you could drink that one by itself and not need to add it with anything which is very nice indeed.
24. Happy birthday Tiggie I fully expect you to be drunk at this hour but if not, you should start! Hope you had/having a good one! Edit: Dude, I'd drank that exact same whiskey the other night, it's nice right? https://gfycat.com/zanytinyanole
