November 2022 we have finally got ourselves a great holiday ! Carribean Island of Guadaloupe where they film the BBC series Death in Paradise. Day 2 into the surf at a beach that was recommended called Glugny and got swamped by a wave and lost the glasses I had forgotten I was wearing. Call to optician back home goes "Hi your not going to believe this but" Oh yes sir that happens a lot ! Very strange next few days trying to do normal things whilst being basically a bat ! Cheers Ian

Quite right too! Think of the trauma it would inflict if she opened her eyes and saw you leering over her lol. I am apprently going to be given a list of dont`s as well I am sure (I have previous for dressing animals up to make them look daft ). Cheers Ian

Just thinking Harley and little noise don`t seem particularly likely bedfellows ! Cheers Ian -

Patience is definately the best course of action. Any extracting tools will potentially make things worse. Please check out videos of others using various easy-outs etc then leave yours to soak a little while longer. Someone I worked with a long time ago said before applying a shed load of torque to the problem spend some time gently tapping the fastener with a metal hammer while holding a gentle pressure in the direction you want to go. Good luck. Cheers Ian -
Or hers ! Cheers Ian

Is this the point that someone posts a copy of the old advert for the revolving self cleaning visor that used to be available? Cheers Ian

Just a thought @Mississippi Bullfrog have you seen the bone shaped bag holders for pooch walking? Ideal for your damp sponge and quite easy to zip tie to handlebars. Hope that helps. Cheers Ian

That is an exact description of what Carol is going through, Prior to our holiday sinus and severe hearing loss in one ear. A few days after the new year felt much better then last week almost back to square one with the symptoms which we blamed on her workplace (hospital) but we keep hearing of others with similar issues. Cheers Ian

When did you pass your test and how much was it?
Ian Frog replied to Geordie Oldie's topic in Motorbike Chat
September 1979 and from memory I believe it was £7.50, Wallington near Croydon. Car test same place about 5 years later. Cheers Ian -
Used bike with high number of owners - an issue?
Ian Frog replied to Interference Fit's topic in Motorbike Chat
I will just chip in for what it`s worth. My first Harley was a 2011 Dyna Custom which I liked very much but I then had the chance to upgrade to a 2019 Fatboy. So I sold my Dyna @fastbob from here and bought the fatboy. The milwaukie 8 engine with a stage 2 tune was brutal and great fun ! However I loved the bike from the headstock back, The front end was woeful, As @fastbobwouldnt let me buy my old bike back I traded it for a 2008 Dyna lowrider with only 1.5 k miles from new so I am happy again. Cheers Ian -
Me also but I can`t help being fascinated by those ceiling speakers ! Cheers Ian

Used bike with high number of owners - an issue?
Ian Frog replied to Interference Fit's topic in Motorbike Chat
For what it`s worth V-Rods are a very marmite thing and for whatever reason most Harley owners/aficionados don`t seem to like them. For whatever reason you don`t see many about. At that age you are basically buying on condition and your instinct. Good luck. Cheers Ian -
Hi I am sure you can check the details required with one of the regular importers on ebay like DK who bring in a lot of bikes from the states etc for the restoration guys. Don`t be surprised if the info requires a donation lol. I believe the cert of conformity info might be covered by the letter of authenticity then an MOT based on frame number following which number plate can be issued but please check with the experts last time I imported a bike it was from the Channel isles and Cosmo Classic bikes of Hastings helped me with the paperwork and it was a long time ago. Good luck. Cheers Ian

Not a chance ! PMSL Cheers Ian

An accolade much sought after by the majority on here. Sadly misunderstood by various buffoons who took themselves too seriously. Also very difficult to win whilst @Tiggie is still active. Cheers Ian

How about KOTY after all we put ourselves up for Knob of the day. If someone has suffered a sense of humour bypass in the meantime I suspect they are beyond help. Cheers Ian
