  1. Scheduled_Maintenance_Check_Sheet_V11_6000 miles_EN.fm (avi.co) Wow what colour Ferrari`s do they drive? Cheers Ian
  2. Rode mine for what feels like the first time in ages ! Countryside gentle bimble of about 35 miles no stops so we were socially distanced lol. Good to see a few people out in particular around Oundle mill and the A43 near Corby. Cheers Ian
  3. Done ! Basking in the warm smug feeling lol. A place I like a lot and happy to help (Will also probably take up the ones that come with my subscription copy of Classic Mechs) Cheers Ian
  4. We`ere Doomed I tell you ! Cheers Ian

  6. What !!!!!! Including @NeilM`s Bollox ? I am getting worried about you lol. Cheers Ian
  7. Do you think @Stu will be putting those between 2 circular bits of bread and calling it a sandwich? Cheers Ian
  8. Yes some of @Stu `s pecadiloes are now widely known and mocked. Even by @Tiggie now his mod status has had it`s novelty worn away lol. Cheers Ian
  9. Quite agree in those circumstances ! I was luckier it was in a pub carpark on a nice hill in Derbyshire so easy bump start terrain ! Not that @Six30 or my girlfriend Carol were any use ! I seem to remember a certain amount of giggling. Oh and it was a Hayabusa so not the hardest thing to bmp. Cheers Ian
  10. Good password ! A tad compromised now you have announced it on the internet though. Cheers Ian
  11. Ha bloody Ha ! It was a fosters if I remember correctly and I bump started it without too many issues or coronary jeopardy while you & Carol ! sniggered ! Cheers Ian
  12. Soon to be followed by the cat using it as a bed no doubt! Cheers Ian
  13. In all seriousness as a minimum I would advise gaffer tape, zip ties, mole grips, leatherman/swiss army knife and puncture kit with pump (oh and get to use the puncture kit before you go!). Good luck and remember to enjoy it. Cheers Ian
  14. I'll be having mixed grill Will that be 2 types of cider and a sarnie? Cheers Ian P.S Enjoy and congrats !
  15. Very true on all points. I wasn`t being flip it`s just that wherever I go in Europe I seem to see increasing numbers of people and nowadays I don`t tend to ride in or lead groups so my packing has shrunk and in fairness to the point I was making my enjoyment has started to increase again. I agree that in a group situation that would be a sensible starting point and from memory the tool roll bag on the Harley`s forks contains a lot of those things that I will probably never take out just in case lol. Cheers Ian
  16. Impressive selection but I have to confess these days I tend to lean towards the credit card, toothbrush, recovery service membership school of survival as bikes have become so reliable and the planet so crowded it is difficult to find many places where self reliance is so important ! Cheers Ian
  17. I normally do the thumbs up thing and carry on if they respond positively. Last June I was heading North on the A6 near Bedford and a guy on a little Vtwin was paddling downhill and as there was no nearby refuge point I went back and used the hazards on the Busa purely because it is a busy road and I believed 2 of us one with hazards would be more visible lol, while I asked if I could help, Lo and behold he tried it again and it spluttered into life. I hope and believe he was ok so we parted ways. Cheers Ian
  18. Hi @Mississippi Bullfrog just a thought that you might like to get the nozzle as close as possible to the area you want the lube to hit. I ended up with only a few mm clearance as the spatter from my old Scotoiler was surprising and my worries about damage to the plastic nozzle were baseless as it seemed fine after a couple of years use. Neat unit though and I must admit I prefer it to the Scot. Cheers Ian
  19. I personally would not want to carry some of that gloop/snot as it is at best less than 100% and at worst will make a real mess of your rims. You should hear tyre fitters on the subject ! I have tubes on the HD and will be actively investigating a way of going tubeless at the earliest opportunity. Cheers Ian
  20. I squeaked a little when a chest drain bounced of a rib when I had my first Pneumo thorax lol. Consultant asked if I would be ok with his little Indian trainee do it as I knew what the procedure entailed. Apparently I was forgiven my racist and threatening outburst lol. No trainees allowed at the next one lol. Cheers Ian
  21. There used to be a fella on here who said how good his Vstrom was a lot, until he bought a BMW that he reckoned was much better. Maybe have a rootle about in old threads and look for Spain, BMW, Dark motorcycling I am sure you will find it and it`s only someone else`s opinion lol. Cheers Ian
  22. ttps://www.performanceparts-ltd.com/road/kawasaki/er-6-f-n-06-11/2008/categories/suspension-and-handling/hypherpro-shock-spring-kit-purple-available-in-purple-or-black-lowers-bike-by-35mm/sp-ka06-ssb017 Have a look at these guys the link says 35mm lowering spring. Cheers Ian
  23. An engineer once told me that if you tap a stud GENTLY and for a prolonged period with a pin hammer you will eventually hear a change in the "note" as the corrosion breaks down a bit allowing the 2 nut method to work. Certainly worth a try as it is non destructive and can`t make the situation worse especially if you are waiting for your new stud extractor to arrive ! Cheers Ian
  24. Is that some kind of Essex grooming ritual? Cheers Ian
