    Degreasing chain

+1 for parraffin if it`s really gummed up a soak in a 50:50 mix of diesel and coke for a couple of days works wonders. Cheers Ian

  6. How very true. Hence I tend to make a note of the suggested time then turn the thing off till I am within a sensible distance and require directions to destination. I seldom leave anything like sat-nav on for the bulk of any journey preferring to watch the scenery etc. Cheers Ian
  7. and great fun to beat lol. Cheers Ian
  8. Is that MC`s or MCC`s ? There is quite a difference lol. Cheers Ian
  9. I would have thought given their penchant for legal proceedings the USA would probably be worse than us for liability laws etc. I have rented on hols in the canaries (Enfield interceptor and Honda 500) and in Portugal (GS550 Classic) and paid approx £75 per day with 2-3 hundred as deposit but compelled to sign up to their insurance which seemed pretty fair to be honest. Cheers Ian
  10. I wonder if Henty Cole could be persuaded to put his collection and his Mrs on the scheme ? (Guaranteed to be returned "Ridden hard and put away wet !"). Cheers Ian

  15. Very Montjuic I thought. Does anyone remember the picture in Bike mag of the gut removing his brain before riding the monty? Cheers Ian
  16. Very sad news! Awesome driver. Cheers Ian
  17. Could be worse I suppose. At least it`s not oil or tyre pressures lol. Cheers Ian
  18. A query guaranteed to get multiple opinions. As a person who only seems to use a satnav to get me to a specific destination rather than plan a route I am happy using google maps both here and abroad. I will be interested in the input you get from others who use them more creatively than I. Cheers Ian
  19. That looks a lot of fun !!! Cheers Ian
  20. I think the drivers side at the front looked very sad for itself !
  21. Mercedes can do that trick! Admittedly it required the help of a pothole but it took out the front spring as well!

  23. Like @fastbob I have been at some of the MAG demos in London and he is quite right several hundred bikers ignoring the helmet law caused a logistic nightmare for the police, after all nick us by all means then have the headache of removing the bikes from the streets of the capitol. A met sarge said to us "We just want you to F off out of the way and not leave stuff for us to clear away before traffic starts tomorrow" It was different times but for some strange reason I miss them a bit. Cheers Ian
  24. Cheers Ian
  25. If you get very hammered getting the wind up is not surprising. A quick google reveals some people who were not prepared to take anyone else`s shit ! Admirable ! Cheers Ian
