  1. Best: Present to myself, the Croatian holidays Worst: 13 pair of socks for Xmas
  2. Don't spend anymore money and return it. That compressor is REALLY BAD!!! The motor is identical to the ones used in hairdryer and it will last a couple months. The fittings for that compressor are the amateur type and you will need to make sure the connector is the same (I don't remember which of the 2 types that one is) or it won't fit. Again, return that piece of crap today!!!
  3. I want to nominate the nob end who did the MOT on the PAN The idiot failed the MOT because the tyre was a bit worn. Fine I can accept that I should have changed it before the test. Then, not happy with his performance, the idiot decided that I would have to replace the rear disk, both front and rear break pads. He called me quoting the tyre at £200 plus fitting. The cherry on the cake was the same issue being a automatic fail and advisory. The pads are still in good condition, the rear ones are almost new with a good 3mm meat and the front only one pad is below 2mm. Did a clean to the breaks and have a new Bridgestone T32 fitted @ £180 Will take the bike back for retest this weekend. Still not sure if I will tell those idiots that I'm not going back with any of the bikes for MOT or let them find out by themselves.
  4. You would have performed a temp solution that can last a few weeks or a couple years. If the oil was missing you would feel the forks hitting the bottom and no pressure when pushing the suspension down. When it start leaking again, be sure it will, I would advice you to do the whole lot, seals, dust covers, bushings and even the bottom bolts that hold the inner part at the bottom. The bolts will get damaged fairly easily and for the sake of a few quid I would replace them. The bushings will seem fine but they will be worn and contaminate the fork oil. Obvious the oil will be changed when opening the forks. Only care to have is the W value of the oil which will vary depending on the oil brand you will be using. Adding to this, make sure the level is exactly the same on both forks. It's a fairly easy job to do but proper messy if you're not careful. Several YT clips showing you how to do it Delboy's garage being my preferred ones.

  11. Due to my "diet" I have abandon the sandwich path. I find that having a wee lunch box works far better than shoving food between slices of bread My process is, I prepare a load of food on sunday an split it in daily portions. My main recipes are diced either chicken or turkey (other protein source available) and adding some veggies/pasta/noodles have a stir-fry. I also, some times do a roast in the oven and slice it ready to eat. It is a bit of work on Sunday but saves me a lot during the week when I get up at 5am. The sliced roasted meat can easily be used in sandwiches too
  12. Considering a F1 engine is 1500 giving well over 1000BHP. I'm sure a 1300 modern engine can't be compared with older versions of the 1800.
