  1. It's quite ingenious, well impressed.

    Hi

Hi I do like a Strom.
  3. Dave Alvin Loreena Mckennitt King Kool Eric Bibb
  4. Congratulations!
  5. I know on the Thunderbird this was a bit of an issue because the pillion seat was too narrow and the footpegs were stubby little things. Replaced both and it made life easier.
  6. With apologies to Groucho Marx - I'd never join any club that would have me as a member.
  7. This weekend. Painting the house with a brief interlude around the firepit.
  8. Nice one
  9. I'll fill it in, but these questions about "gender identity" are really getting on my ti... Oh, never mind. Can we please go back to asking the question "Sex? M/F" so the sniggering thirteen year olds can write "yes please" and the rest of us be done with all this two-spirit, pansexual, xenogender, genderfluid rowlocks. I'm a bearded 50 year old bloke. Some nurse at the hospital the other week asked me if there was any chance I could be pregnant.
  10. Try a Cool Covers seat cover (cheaper brands are available). Pooling at the crotch is a bit like sitting in a puddle - it's not that surprising when your gear lets water in under those circumstances. Although they're marketed as aids to hot weather riding, the side effect of mesh covers is they allow water to drain by keeping you a quarter inch above the seat.

    Ow do

    Very nice! Welcome in.
  12. Try editing/resizing to be slightly smaller. Works for me usually.
  13. No! It's a passion, a love, crucial to mental health and sanity, the coming together of man and machine in a visceral expression of primeval power, skill, speed and knowledge. Two fingers to the cosseted, safety obsessed modern world, this is life on the edge, the age-old dance along the line between life and death, one of the few remaining places where one can truly experience the value of this gift we call living. In that mysterious bond and connection with The Road via two small patches of rubber, one is immediately in communion with all places and all times past, present and (dare I say it), future. Also, very handy for nipping to the shops.
  14. Weirdly, I can't find them anywhere in the house.
  15. MOT on the Thunderbird. No advisories. Need to get out on it a bit more, only done 341 miles since picking it up last July.
  16. You need one of these sandwiched between two sheets of ply:
  17. Having been an avid watcher of Matt's Off Road Recovery for some time, my overriding impression of tracked vehicles is they spend most of their time breaking down.
  18. Love a Goldwing. No space in the garage, unfortunately
  19. Hi, well done on the A2

    Hello

    Hi, welcome
  21. If you've ever seen Mickey Flanagan talk about his second corner shop where he goes so the first one doesn't think he's an alcoholic... Well, we have two waste disposal centres near us. After the first "back again?" from the chap at Tip #1 I thought I'd go to Tip #2. Altogether a better class of punter. In fact I brought home two breakfast bowls that a nice couple in a Tesla had left in the rubble and hardcore skip. In other news, Mrs. Fiddlesticks has been a bit short with me this afternoon. Not sure why.
  22. Sounds like some good defensive riding, could have been much worse . Don't feel that you have to use your leg to protect the bike though.
  23. We're on a countdown of the last 2 weeks of a big DIY project (I say DIY, but I broke with tradition and got tradesmen in for a lot of it - so much quicker). So this weekend will be carpet removal, trips to the tip, mist coating and painting.
  24. April 1st was 11 days ago.
