  5. I'll be in the car again next weekend, so will be bringing my tools again. Does anybody need any work doing on their bike or need showing how to do any maintenance jobs?
  6. I doubt it ! It would have to go in the filler cap or where the fuel tap screws in and be intrinsically safe!!!
  7. A GSX1100 is an air cooled motor mate. Yours is oil cooled. More likely a GSXR1100 manual would do?
  8. Screws on my Bandit were 3 or 4 mm square? Not slotted.
  9. Perhaps it was warmer today than yesterday?
  10. A bike will start with the right fuel, the right ignition timing and spark and the right compression. Check how much compression it has. Check for a good blue spark. Check ignition is firing at the right time. Replace fuel with fresh and make sure no water, rust, crud in tank. Check fuel filter inside tank is not blocked. this is all basic mate. Buy a workshop manual?
  11. Heard bad things about Goldfren!!! Buy OEM or Carbone Lorraines. Halfords or Hein Gerricke oil and filters. NGK standard plugs not Iridium.

  13. Cheers mate, thought it was a GSX air cooled motor , not a GSXR oil cooled. Dunno about the internals on GSXRs
  14. I would put non ferrous bits in the tank , but I doubt you will dislodge all the rust. Not sure what good the oxalic acid will do? I have a 18 month since last run Blade engine. I took plugs out, sprayed 3in1 in , left 24hrs, turned engine over with nut on end of crank about 4 times. Spayed more 3in1 or WD40 in, left 24 hrs, turned over by hand again and resprayed. Left 24 hrs then spun engine with starter motor, plugs out, more 3in1, 24hrs, more spinning. Plugs back in and I fired it up. If that engine is an air cooled TSCC engine, I have stripped and rebuilt them a few times! http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r240/megawattblade/My%20Bike%20pix/File0004-1.jpg
