CBT With Provisional
littlecat replied to Jhncf's topic in CBT, Test and Advanced Training Information
provisional is fine, my daughter did hers at 17 and still doesn't have a car licence, she now has the A2 bike licence -
pillion seat...lots of bungees and a cargo net usually works
-
abraxix... we may have a spare tent, but you would have to a. pick it up and b, return it in useable condition
-
that's bull... a 400 ridden decently will eat bigger bikes on the corners
-

-
happy burfday steve mate....hope Kaz gotcha summat awesome x
-
as for the potential lack of power, tbh , at novice level it aint gonna make much difference
-
depends as I said... the 8th august at Mallory with no limits is 103db, whereas the Saturday one we have booked for the 30th is 98. ive also done donnington on a 'quiet day' , 98db with focussed events, whereas trackdays.co.uk have 2 days listed in august as 105db.
-
it not necessarily the track itself that has the limit...different track day providers do different limits, and you'll often find weekdays and weekend limits are different

Ohjay and I will be at squires at some point on the sunday, on our way back from the yorkie pud rally. not likely to fancy a rideout , as we'll be travelling home fully loaded, but happy to meet new faces ( or old ones lol )

must be a day for it today Derek....blue BMW up my arse on the roundabout onto the A38, kicked up 2 gears on the slip road and can only assume he didn't like the way I pulled away from him, as he then floored it and shot round me just as owen in front of me signalled and moved into the overtaking lane. said BMW accelerated up behind him at about 100+ , owen politely moved in out of his way, as I was screaming down the headset 'watch the knob in the bmw'. I then shot round owen and sat behind said car looking bored just to set his mind at rest as to the question of whether he was really going to out accelerate a pair of sports bikes if they actually cared.

tmbf failed trackday meet. cadwell 24/07/2014
littlecat replied to cockercas's topic in Racing and Track Days
cool pic...why were you trying to chuck the bike around with weak knees, when you have a perfectly good set of hands (flame me for the allusion to counter steering references :D ) -
2 wheels and an engine are a good start... a large pair of cojones comes in handy later on
-

Tent for Rally
littlecat replied to RantMachine's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
vango tempest 3 man ...big enough for 2 plus gear, will last forever , and well worth the less than 100 quid price tag if you shop around -
I have to cheat with the race can to make 105 , so always default to the standard for track...plus some days are high 90's ....but yeah , most cans will do 105 limits confortably.. I never take the chance, as its too bloody expensive, and too far to risk getting turned away ( and yes ive seen people turned away)
-
yep. noise testing is the first thing they do...depends who's running it I guess, but id never attempt cadwell with the race can on
-
and make sure you have baffles in or with you... cadwell's a bitch for noise testing
-
eat a decent breakfast..... drop your tyre pressures once you're there, put yourself in an appropriate group , forget about showing off, don't ride outside your talent, drink lots of water between sessions, concentrate on riding smoothly , rather than 'I must be fast', tape up your speedo , and remove your mirrors
