1. Hitchhikers Guide ?? Oh yes....well spotted....
2. When it cuts out open the filler cap......If you hear a hissing sound, then it's possible that the fuel tank breather is clogged, causing a vacuum to form in the tank, stopping the fuel from flowing to the carb......

Brakes binding...

Red rubber grease on the seals/pistons works wonders too......but only if they're clean.....

Gigs

My first Genesis album was Genesis Live.....played it to death..... Got all the early albums up to Wind and Wuthering. Saw Motorhead at the Cambridge Corn Exchange 3 or 4 times over the years......The last time wasn't so loud....my ears were only ringing for 2 days afterwards. ....

Gigs

Worst: Gary Moore After the War tour at Wembley Arena.......There was a really loud buzzing coming from Gary's guitar......He played 2 songs, said "f*ck this" and stormed off stage......and that was the end of the gig. I vowed that I'd never go to another of his gigs........but I relented a few years later and went to his Back to the Blues tour at Hammersmith odeon. .....which turned out to be a really good gig.....

Gigs

Now that is someone who I would have loved to see Captain Beefheart, still play it when out in the workshop Got into him and Zappa + The Fugs at 15 when I started work!!! But yes know what you mean about Big Gigs, last one was Rush Birmingham Clockwork Angels Tour, so disappointed had so much feedback on Neil's drums ruined the show. But years ago Bournemouth Pavilion had a concert nearly every week! you payed on the Door, Thought of another strange one Van Der Graf Generator at the Pavilion Saw Frank Zappa at what was the Hammersmith odeon. .......He brought Dweezil on for a couple of songs. I guess Dweezil was early teenage.
10. Working Christmas eve, then off until 2nd Jan......it's my turn this year!.....
11. Most recognised restrictions are either to the inlet tract or ECU......not many to the throttle stop. Do your A2, get a suitably restricted bike and wait for the 2 years or your 24th birthday and unrestrict it then.......insurance companies and their assessors aren't stupid and you'll get caught out if you try to fiddle the system.

Gigs

Most memorable: Led Zeppelin at Knebworth Pink Floyd - The Wall at Earl's Court Iron Maiden - Seventh Son tour at Wembley (saw Bon Jovi there the night before!) Elbow at Cambridge Corn Exchange just as they were making it big Rush - Hemispheres tour at the Hammersmith Odeon Joe Bonamassa at Cambridge Corn Exchange Matt Schofield at the Junction in Cambridge Strangest: Captain Beefheart at a small venue near Victoria train station Loudest: Motorhead at Cambridge Corn Exchange Most disappointing : Rush at Wembley Arena - Great band, sh*t acoustics. (The reason I don't go to big gigs anymore) Who I regret not seeing : Stevie Ray Vaughan (died the year before he was going to do a UK tour) Hawkwind - in their trippiest era (early 1970's) Genesis - in the Peter Gabriel era Love live music.......
13. So it seized......They freed it up and stuck new rings on the piston to fob you off for a month or 2.....it's burning oil, so it's likely that the bore is scored and quite likely to seize again. When is the warranty up? If they can fob you off until then and wash their hands of it. I'd be talking to trading standards now, before it's too late. If that bike seizes while you're riding it and it locks the back wheel it could end very badly for you. This is a totally unacceptable situation.
14. Even if you got rid of Sadiq Khan his successor would still need to implement the restrictions. ......There are agreed clean air targets that many UK cities are failing to meet, and London is especially bad......whoever is Mayor will have to come up with a plan to reduce the main polluters......and motorists and motorcyclists are the obvious/easy target. Anyway, back to the original question......you need to do a lot of research to find out if any changes to the engine would meet the requirements for exemption from the charge.......and then there's the question of whether you would be able to insure the bike with those changes......A lot of insurers won't touch bikes with major modifications to them.....particularly if you are deemed higher risk in the first place due to where you live and where the bike is stored overnight.
15. Donnie Brasco used to have a similar one in red that he used to wear........but I think that it clashes with his Hayabusa now.....
16. Chrome or cool touch plastic?
17. Dad jokes, mate.....my kids love 'em.....
18. Start your own build thread mate........We like build threads with lots of pictures......
19. Welcome to TMBF mate. .....pop over to the Newbies section and introduce yourself to the guys when you can. ...... Does the bike have an automatic choke?.........
20. I'd replace them, mate......get some nice titanium ones.....or dome head nuts like I have on mine.....
21. Possibly Well most companies I looked at say they give discounted prices for people that have taken the course, so yea.... Not Bikesure.....but then again my insurance isn't high enough to worry about anyway.....but Bikesafe is definitely worth doing anyway.......and Biker down is another good training......
22. What's the difference between a tyre and 365 used condoms? Ones a Goodyear and the other's a bl**dy good year!.....
