Think of it more like a mechanic asking you what oil you put in your bike. You can use whatever you want in it as it's your bike but he will point out why its crap and what you should be using. I think someone on here once mentioned they knew a person who had (or was threatened with) their burner removed by council as they kept burning wooden pallets in their stove and had 2 or 3 chimney fires because it. I am probably far too over cautious with what I put in the house stove, I get a log delivery yearly, keep it stored in a section of the garage and always have a couple of large washing baskets full of logs to burn in the house, transferring from garage when they get empty. This way the logs are bone dry plus will be warmer than outside so will burn easier. As I said, far too cautious I know Fo the first few months we used the bags of logs you can buy at B&M/Home bargains type places. Looking back I realise how shit they were, glass would always be blackening over completely when burning. I barely even have to give it a wipe nowadays

He actually inspected the wood I use I inherited this from my Father-In-Law which I use in garden to burn all the crap stuff

Chimney sweep day today. He is very happy with the soot type and amount he's swept out. He says I must know how to start a good fire

Panels will probably just be a few screws that need undoing.

Many years ago my bike was stolen. When I got it back I saw they had tried using a screwdriver in the ignition ( it was an old bike but not that old) and then cut random wires and twisted them together like they must of seen on tv. I managed to fix it with some crimp connectors. Luckily they had not damaged the ecu with their attempted hot wiring. Only problem I had after that was the key was a little loose in the barrel but not bad enough to bother replacing.

It may help knowing that an AJS Modena is the same scooter. Might find parts for that bike which will fit.

I'd check to make sure the battery has been fitted correctly and the terminals are connected securely. Would also check that the new battery is correct for the bike

Have you checked the oil level?

Ours broke recently and I've got to say I really hated using normal oven while waiting for the replacement

Got to say I was shocked how nice they actually are. Best Served with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream on the side

@the fencer The original poster hasn't been on this forum since he asked his question back in January and I doubt he'll be returning unless he gets another issue he can't solve. What have you tried so far with your own bike to get it working?

ebay has a good selection and most seem to be from sellers who are running restoration or an automotive type business. Probably trust them a lot more than ali express

Cheers everyone. I celebrated by going into work at 5am to do prep while my Wife and both children are in bloody Malta about to set sail on a cruise

Sounds like the carb could do with a clean, possibly the floats are stuck. Also worth looking at the airbox to make sure nothing is blocking it. Have you checked the petcock is switched to fuel? The petcock filter can sometimes get gummed up with old fuel too. My money would be on the carb though. Sometimes you can give a gentle tap to the float bowl and it will free up, though most likely it'll need a clean

loosen any bolts for changing the pads on the calipers before you take it off the frame. So much easier but easy to forget about doing until its too late!

We had someone selling one on the forum a couple of years ago, looked a nice bike too. Heres a link to the original post, might give you an idea what they could be worth

Nice Bike!! Welcome to the forum

I can't remember now, maybe 8 lessons. Having had years of experience on the roads definitely made it easier as far as dealing with traffic and knowing what to do at a roundabout etc! parking maneuvers were the hardest thing to grasp for me.

A few thing I found was my sense of speed was different. 40mph in a car feels like 30mph on a bike so easier to speed accidently. I definitely felt like my vision was always obscured by the front pillars too. Another thing my instructor caught me doing was always looking ahead at traffic queues to see if I could squeeze past.

@S-Westerly I see roastworks have a website. I'll give them a try I'm not a huge fan of lavazza either, will drink it in cafes etc but wont buy it for my own use. I used an aeropress for a few years before I got lazy and went the pourover route If I did a lot of traveling I would certainly bring it back out of the cupboard though. Currently I'm drinking Ueshima coffee. It is my fall back coffee when i've tried something new and not been keen. Just has a consistency I like and price is good
