  1. @Bungleaio Thats one that I'd like to do. Next one for us is Alaska in 2025. Either with Royal Caribbean or Norwegian Cruise Line They aren't for everyone i know but for me I would pick a Cruise over most other holidays I've had
  2. I drove from the gold coast to Sydney several years ago and it was very memorable. Would of been amazing on a bike I'm sure
  3. @Simon Davey There is no argument from me, counter steering is real and I use it myself. We have had plenty of members on here though that don't believe its real and will argue the toss forever on it
  4. oooh, there hasn't been a counter steering argument on here in ages
  5. It amazes me how many people I see that don't look both ways before stepping out onto a road. Not even a quick glance just carry on as if they are invulnerable to anything on the road
  6. There was a bit of an uproar several years ago at my youngest daughters primary school when an email went out to the parents asking them to please be dressed while dropping their kids off in a morning and not to be in sleepwear. "you can't tell me what to do" "you don't know how hard my life is" etc etc etc
  7. Excellent thread. Congratulations on a fantastic build
  8. Busman's holiday for you
  9. I've been on 3. Two with Royal Caribbean which I would absolutely do again. They seem to manage the people better and it doesn't feel crowded or that you are forever queuing. Went on a cheap P&O cruise last year and I didn't enjoy it. Wife thinks it was because we were spoilt on the other ones. Just felt like they had crammed the ship to capacity, massive queues for drinks and food. A lot of the staff didn't seem to care. Unfortunately the Wife has booked another P&O one for just the two of us next year as it was so cheap. She reckons I'm just being miserable but I would rather have spent more money on a Royal Carribean one! @Bender You might like this Robotic Bar they had on the Anthem. Just use the screen to choose what drink you want and the robotic arms make it and hand it to you. No contact with people necessary
  10. I would love to see it in real life. I have been on the Anthem & on the Independence. The Anthem in particular felt intimidatingly large to me when I was walking alongside it and this is 2 classes larger! Photo I took of the Anthem Of The Seas
  11. The clutch sensor/switch. Plenty of bikes won't start if they aren't in neutral or don't have the clutch lever pulled in. And I am assuming you have tried a new spark plug?
  12. We allow dogs to come into the chippy. Providing its not really busy so shop full and the dog is behaved it does not cause an issue. Apart from getting snotty looks off a woman once when I told her she was welcome to bring her dog in but not to sit the little handbag thing on the counter. Tried telling me her dog was much cleaner than our counter I once worked in a Jewellers and it was an open shop with display cabinets on both sides and an open entrance with no doors. People used to walk in with their dogs all the time (and smoking which was a pain in the arse to deal with all day) and same thing there, if the dog was quiet and not jumping up at anyone there was no issue.
  13. I saw a bag of frozen chicken strips in Asda (chicken pieces, not breaded etc) and the ingredients just said Chicken. Looked at the extra tasty ones next to it and the ingredients said Chicken, sugar, paprika, caramelised sugar......
  14. My Wife is scared of strange dogs, she is fine when she has met them and spends time with them but always gets scared when we are going for a walk and dog walkers come towards us. I however am more on the lines of " Oh look at that German Shepherd, I'm going to see if the owner will let me say hello " Strangely enough she has never been bit by a dog or had a bad experience with one.
  15. Bit of an interesting update. Had a GP appointment today to discuss my levels and she isn't overly concerned. Although my cholesterol levels are high my total level to HDL isn't that bad. If I was 10 years older or heavier she might of raised an eyebrow but has told me for now to just to cut back on the crap, eat a bit healthier, drink less, walk to work etc and to retest in 6 months Also told me it helps if I can get my partner to join in with me on the healthier eating and exercise. Assuming I'll be back to see her next week with some form of poisoning or blunt trauma related injury after I mention that to the Wife. I swear I was looking around for Jeremy Beadles ghost when she suggested I tell my Wife to go on a diet and exercise
  16. Obviously they didn't eat all of that Just buy in multipacks so it's there for them next time.
  17. Crisps I can live without. Chocolate bars, biscuits, doughnuts and cake related things however
  18. We have had the grandkids this weekend and there is a ton of stuff left over. My Wife and youngest daughter are going to enjoy them
  19. @onesea I have that book ( ultra processed) just haven't read it yet. Guess I've got a good reason to now!
  20. I've switched to red top for cereal and tea Thankfully I like green tea so will be drinking more of that as an alternative as well. Cut right back on coffee too as I only normally drink pour over which has more cafestol than instant and can cause higher levels apparently. Usually have 4 cups a day too On the bright side now I'm not drinking as much I can justify buying more expensive beans to try! I'm going to be a right miserable f**ker for a while
  21. @Fiddlesticks Walk of the earth are a fun band. Quite like some of there covers. My wife loves their version of Macey Grays I try.
  22. @Vic101 Great song. I love this version. The crowd were pissed off, I think Stevie Wonder was supposed to be playing and he wouldn't go on for some reason or other so she got sent out and won them over with her Singing.
